Dear diary,

It's been 6mo since the last post. 

Since then, you:
- moved on to a bunch of different new jobs/gigs (incl. many solo → in-house)
- lived through a dozen dramas (some more serious than others)
- got lighter on the memes (a great loss for all of us)
- got worse (you got better later, though)
- fought inconsequential battles in the comment section (and some consequential ones IRL)


Since then, I:
- almost went to drive trams for a living (lucky for them, I didn't)
- instead, joined Joseph and Jimmy at Revenu (a role I haven't applied for)
- remembered my paid ads roots (kids have it easy these days!)
- worked with the loveliest teammates (and clients)
- fell in love with the act of doing the work (again)

Most surprising of all, I've put my previously-useless engineering degree to use. I've always been a meh coder at best. I could write okay scripts—I actually taught myself R—but I couldn't stand up a piece of software to save my life. 

But since joining Revenu, I've come the closest I've ever been to building legit software. In no small part, it's thanks to Jacob Bank building Relay.app. 

Almost 6 months and 50 different automations later, this is our day-to-day:
- routine manual tasks are getting extinct
- manual mistakes rarely happen
- our team spends more time thinking than click-clacking

And yours truly is getting paid to be a happy boy building robots that take everyone's (boring) work away. (Picture's somewhat related.)
