Nokia

Lead Data Scientist at Nokia and then Microsoft Smart Devices.  I led a talented team of data scientists and engineers to develops data-driven solutions that improve mobile products and user experience.

HERE

Led the development of several key data products that substantially improved HERE's location offerings.  HERE's location offerings served hundreds of millions of mobile users, and power or help services like Yahoo! Maps, MapQuest and Bing Maps.  They were also "under the hood" of hundreds of millions built-in automotive navigation systems worldwide.

Lead Data Scientist

Responsible for building from the ground up Nokia's peta-byte scale analytics platform and oversaw all technical/architectural aspects of the project through multiple releases.

Architected and designed global end-to-end data pipeline for Nokia, from data ingestion, analysis to reports, dashboards and insight generation.  The platform is capable of capturing and analyzing billions of events every day.

Principal Architect, Large Scale Data Analysis

I worked on several projects related to distributed systems (CDNs in particular) and natural language processing.  Results of these projects include:
•	One internal venture;
•	Nine patents awarded or pending;
•	One book on mobile content delivery (co-editor);
•	Several journal and conference publications.

Program Manager and Senior Research Engineer

Worked on NLP and spoken language dialogue systems in the context of mobile user interface.  While the backend was based on technologies developed at MIT's Spoken Language Systems Group [2], we developed a distributed system where user can manage information on the mobile device via natural/spoken language interface.
