I’ve spent 25+ years exploring how imagination and technology collide.
For the last 19 at Microsoft, I’ve turned that curiosity into products, prototypes, apps, and experiences used by millions. Today, at Microsoft Studio42, I lead AI-driven User Experiences and creative innovation for global customers, shaping what comes next in human-machine interaction.

My mission is simple:
Amplify human creativity through Artificial Intelligence and create an unforgettable experience.
Whether AI, extended realities, digital twins, spatial interfaces… I work where emerging technology becomes storytelling, design, and business impact.

I’ve helped build award-winning consumer apps for brands like Zara, Real Madrid, Santander Bank, IKEA, Sony Pictures, and 20th Century FOX. I’ve led large-scale digital transformations in the global sports industry, designed new fan engagement models, and even earned a Microsoft-protected patent for innovation along the way.

But technology is just the medium.
The real goal is to make people feel something: clarity, awe, agency, connection, possibility.

Beyond Microsoft, I’m an AI Tutor at the University of Oxford, teaching how generative AI unlocks new creative workflows. And as a keynote speaker with 200+ talks delivered worldwide, I share the frameworks, mental models, and design principles behind the next era of digital experiences.

WHEN VIBE-CODERS
MEET YOUR DEV TEAM 🤘

I support a team of engineers
using AI across the full software lifecycle.

We test dozens of models and tools.
It’s fast. It’s fun. Slightly addictive.

But let’s be clear about one thing:
Code is not production software.

There’s a big difference between
a software engineer using AI
and a vibe-coder doing the same.

In reviews, engineers instantly spot:
✅ over-engineered solutions…
✅ hallucinated logic…
✅ hidden bugs…
✅ and when AI simply shouldn’t be used.

They also know which models behave better,
which ones introduce regressions often,
and when human judgment must take over.

Don’t get me wrong…
vibe-coding is great for speed and prototyping.

But prompts don’t replace software architecture.
And speed doesn’t remove complexity.

As I read today on twitter... 
"Vibecoding financial software is a great way to meet new people
You can meet lawyers, police officers, a judge..."

So yes… vibe-code. Enjoy it.

Just don’t assume you’re a software engineer
just because software came out of a prompt.

In the same way you don’t assume you’re a graphic designer
just because you got an image from a prompt…

A day to give, not to ask.

Many times people ask me:
“How can I tell if this text was generated by AI?”

I've tested dozens... 
but here are my Top 3 tools detecting AI text

I wrote a very typical text.
The kind of post everyone says:
“This was clearly written by AI.”

Then I tested it.

I ran that exact same text through more than a dozen AI detection tools.

Most tools were noisy.
Inconsistent.
Or dangerously overconfident.

But these three were the most consistent.

Important note tho…
None tool is perfect...
and YES!!! sometimes they do false positives!

Use these tools to question, not to accuse.
To investigate further, not to judge.
And always with context.

That’s my gift for you today.

🐎 The day New York came to a stop...
Circa 1910, 4,500 carriage drivers blocked the city.

They were protesting against a new disruptive technology... Cars.
Especially Ford’s announcement of the mass-produced Model T.

They feared engines would disrupt their way of life.
And they were right...
at least in the short term.

On December 20, 1922, the sound of restless neighs and stamping hooves echoed through the streets of Brooklyn for the last time.

✅ Cities became cleaner.
✅ Entire industries emerged.
✅ Millions of new jobs were created.
✅ Health and life expectancy improved.

And those workers?
Most of them found new jobs in transportation.

Today, we’re having a very similar debate.

And once again, the questions sound familiar:
Will this make my role irrelevant?
Am I being replaced... or redefined?

History doesn’t repeat itself.
But human reactions often do.

There’s nothing more human than fearing the unknown.

The real question isn’t what AI will do next.

It’s how we choose to respond and prepare
while things are still unfolding.
