I’ve finished the book: Building AI Agents with LLMs, RAG, and Knowledge Graphs. Really strong book to get a holistic view on how to build agents.

Here are some ideas I found interesting:

𝐇𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Problem: If there are too many documents or they are too long, RAG would struggle with precision (chunks are misaligned) or recall (find all relevant chunks).
Solution: We generate a summary of each document and index it with the chunks. At query time, first search over the summaries, and then retrieve the relevant chunks.

𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐑𝐀𝐆:
Problem: The query is too complex.
Solution: Use a multi-step process to critique and reflect on the output.

𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐑𝐀𝐆:
Problem: Traditional RAG fails to capture relationships and struggles with redundant information.
Solution: Use a Knowledge Graph, composed as tripplets of entity-relation-entity, as a controlled context to increase relevance.

𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 (𝐆𝐨𝐓):
Problem: The query is too complex.
Solution: Use multiple reasoning steps in graph form to explore alternative answers and verify the final output.

Problem: It’s not easy to understand the agent's behavior in an RL setting.
Solution: Use an LLM as a policy interpreter to explain the agent’s behavior.

Generalists or Specialists...
Who will succeed in the AI era?

There’s a fierce debate out there.
Will generalists or specialists be the ones who truly succeed with AI?

Let’s say a generalist is a 100-level professional in four areas.
A specialist is a 400-level expert in one.

Before AI, the market had room for both.

But now, AI already does most things… decently.
Good enough for most people, including generalists, because it’s 100-level.

But not good enough for specialists.
Because they can spot what AI still gets wrong.

Soon, AI will raise the floor again... 
Maybe up to 200-level.

AI would literally become the new “average work”.

That would be the new starting point for everyone.
Generalists, Specialists or just Newbies!

But being 400-level specialist using AI becomes exponential,
faster, sharper, and suddenly capable of delivering 200-level results in every other field.

So the only real advantage then is depth.
Because Specialists raise the ceiling!

We should all use AI in two ways:
✅ To amplify what makes us unique,
✅ To reach the average standard in what we don’t master.

Why? Because the higher AI raises the floor,
the more important it is to stay above it.

⚡Everyone talks about using AI faster.
I use it slower! 

Running fast means nothing...
if you don’t know where you’re going.

People keep asking me for tools for faster results.
But my speed doesn’t come from shortcuts.
It comes from preparation.

When I start a new creative challenge,
I define my own brief.
Just like a client would.

What I want to achieve.
What success looks like.
And why it matters.

Then I move fast but with direction.

Speed only works when it follows purpose.

That’s the real secret behind consistency.
Not better tools.
Better clarity.

When you order online... vs when it arrives!
And why you SHOULDN’T use the SAME prompts across AI tools.

Today my friend Aïda Figuerola tagged me in a viral post comparing the same prompt across different AI image generation models.
And that’s exactly the problem.

Each model is trained differently... 
with unique datasets, tokens, and architectures.

So using the same prompt everywhere
is like playing the same melody on a piano, a guitar, and a drum set...
and expecting the same sound.
It’s like expecting to get the same you ordered online!

Each AI tool speaks a different creative language
and that’s what makes them powerful.
- Grok creates incredible anime
- Midjourney is exceptional artistically
- Sora rules cinematic storytelling
- NanoBanana wins in consistency
- Flux Kontext defines hyperrealism
- Seedream mixes a bit of all of them
and I could go over dozens of models I've tested.

So before asking “Which model is better?”...
ask “What do I actually want to create?”

It was the same one they used to play FIFA for hours.
Now it lies on the grass, next to the flowers…
a silent message that seems to say,

No celebration, no trophy,

and also in front of a screen.

I don’t think there’s a stronger message about 
how gaming can build lifelong friendships.

Even beyond life itself.

Everything truly exceptional in my career
started when I stepped off the line.

We follow others because we’re told it’s safer.
Safer to end up where others have already been.

And it’s mostly true.

But the moment you step away from the path
is when you really start growing.

Don't get me wrong!
Choosing your own path always comes with a cost.

Some will hate you for it.
Others will try to pull you back in line.
A few might even envy you for daring to walk alone.

But wherever you end up…
none of them will ever get there...
unless they follow your trail!
