NFT or Non-Functional Testing is responsible for performance and resilience testing applications and infrastructure for Aviva UKL, Healthcare and Shared Services business units.  The team is established since 1998, back then as part of a central Aviva UK ITS team testing for all Aviva UK.

I was part of Aviva NFT SILO team. The silo is a workhouse where scripts are recorded and enhanced so that they can be used in test suites. The silo is also capable of commissioning scripts after a new code release to ensure that script suites are still functioning as they should. If not they will raise issues to the relevant contact/team highlighting the particular issue so that it can be looked at or repair scripts as necessary to a functioning state.

Mainly involved in producing and improving scripts in HP Load Runner. Scripting against variety of different web applications and services, using protocols such as web services, HTTP/WEB, Siebel, etc. Improving previous experience with C programing language by adding custom logic to scripts, improving them to perform custom tasks for specific scenarios.

Was put in charge of administering the NFT SharePoint Team Site, making sure the information on the site is regularly updated. Also involved in revamping the site making it easier to use and adding different new functionalities.
