Cyber tb Continued

On starting out on my own in March of 2023, those of you who have worked with me before; I am a net-worker, problem-solver and big picture thinker - if you have any projects that you can't quite get off the ground a set of processes to wrap around your growing start-up or in need of a driving force to keep your agenda on track, message me. I have been part of a couple of fab projects this year in supporting the automation of processes, building out strategy and company content and of course keeping it fun and client focused. Can't wait to see what 2024 brings me.

Cyber Security Challenge UK

After eight Masterclasses, two neurodiversity events, four CyberCenturion finals and many 'women into cyber' events with the Challenge, I am moving on.  I have been so engaged in the work that my colleagues and I have been part of, that to leave as it changes feels right!                                                 

I  split my role in November 2015 to join Bletchey Park Qufaro, where I built and delivered the UK's first CyberEPQ and gained City & Guilds Centre status for the centre.

QUFARO

QUFARO launched in 2016, designed to make it simpler for those with career ambitions in the cyber security to access the UK’s cyber-specific education and innovation opportunities. Celebrating our national heritage in codebreaking and cryptography, QUFARO will be the catalyst for delivering the next generation of exceptional cyber security defenders.

My part in all this was to set up and launch the first Cyber Security Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). It launched with 260 learners waiting to access this 100% online course on 1st November 2016. I feel proud to be part of this initiative and even more proud of the individuals who have supported with their time and specialist input to make this qualification authentic, showcasing diversity!

With a background in technology, I am a creative problem solver, a dynamic connector, and a big-picture thinker with the end user in mind. I continue to bring inclusion while delivering clarity to processes that benefit all.

I have a real passion for neurodiversity, and the cybersecurity industry is where this passion is being delivered. I firmly believe in the principle of 'Nothing About Us, Without Us.'

Bridging the gap between cybersecurity’s demand for more professionals and supplying that demand by building pipelines, engaging in educational initiatives, crafting event content and agendas is how I add value.

Diagnosed with ADHD, I am open to helping companies simplify processes, offering a unique perspective. I connect with industry experts to support internal conversations for me and you. Bring me a problem to solve, and I’ll have an idea you haven’t thought of yet, unless you’re my amazing daughter and just beat me to it.

In my role as Director at NeuroCyber, I have been instrumental in building and coordinating the UK's first Neurodiversity: Autism into Cyber Event. This initiative galvanized the industry youth, carers, teachers, and parents to start and shine a light on the diversity of thought in the UK Cyber sector. 

At Cyber Security Challenge UK, I served as Cyber Centurion & Diversity Lead, supporting Masterclasses, building content for neurodiversity, CyberCenturion and 'women into cyber' events.

I was seconded to Bletchley Park (2015) as a Curriculum Manager, where I built and delivered the UK's first CyberEPQ, gaining City & Guilds Centre status, the certification now sits with CIISEC. 

Ask yourself this - What is diversity? I think it's someone who doesn't think, look, sound, or feel like you do. Inclusion is a verb, an action. Try talking to someone new, find out something about them.
