This organization was founded in 1993 by Emily Douglas, at the age of eleven, of Powell, Ohio. She founded the organization in memory of her grandma Norma Ackison of Ironton, Ohio, who passed away in 1991 of breast cancer.

Over $14 million in goods and services has been provided to needy children, daycare’s, hospitals, school, and libraries in Appalachia. The organization has ZERO paid employees, volunteers, or board members, allowing 100 percent of funds raised go towards making a difference.
