Now a bit about me: 

I'm a proud Mancunian, living on one of my favourite islands... Ibiza! 🇬🇧 ✈️ 🇪🇸 

For the last 25 years, I’ve mostly worked in sales, from door to door, to telesales and then into management where I’ve been proud to turn underperforming teams into top performing teams. I've worked in telecoms, marketing, financial services and more recently tech (SaaS). 

Over the years, I’ve also done stints in customer service where I’ve gone around the business looking at how different back-office functions can perform better, through a mixture of recruitment, staff training, new business processes or even new technology. I've created new roles and new teams that have gone on to make huge differences within the businesses. 

As you can see, from creating winning sales teams to fixing broken processes, my journey's been as varied as a British summer - which is why I packed my bags & jetted off! 💼 ✈️ ☀️ 

When I’m not working, you can find me in the following places...

Michele Fleming-Anwar

The Drop Ship department is responsible for processing all orders that will be shipping from either the manufacturer or distributor directly to the end user, bypassing CDW’s warehouses. The Drop Ship Associate is responsible for working closely with our vendor partners and our customers in ensuring that all purchase orders are processed in a timely manner and billed correctly to CDW. This role is a buyer on the Drop Ship team who buys products for specific lines, providing product requirement guidance to Sales, and follows through with the fulfillment of each purchase.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Review and analyze purchase orders for the assigned product lines
Qualify or reject with detailed directions all purchase orders
Establish and maintain internal and external partner relationships
Work with partners and Sales to make necessary changes to purchase orders to fulfill customer needs in a timely manner
Explain important internal processes to our vendor partners and Account Managers
Continually update the status of aging purchase orders, follow up with partners for information on scheduled shipments
Maintain part number information within CDW database, updating pricing and any additional product line instructions that need to be provided to Sales
Responsible for flow of information from our partners to CDW
Responsibilities
Follow established procedures on daily work requirements and responsibilities
Utilize all new process improvement resources
Keep current of departmental policies and product lines to ensure drop ship purchase orders are processed correctly
Work with management on approving any exceptions that fall outside of departmental guidelines
Seek assistance from Senior Specialist and Supervisor to resolve more complex issues to determine next step of action

Drop Ship Associate

Responsible for the analysis of sales and seasonal trends to effectively manage inventory in multiple distribution centers. Accurately set pricing to ensure CDW is competitive and products will sell in a timely manner. Proactively negotiate favorable pricing, partner funding, payment terms, price protection policies, and return policies. Negotiate and execute opportunistic buy in deals. Maintain inventory mix and roadmaps for product lines within category. Inventory management for product lines and manage products through their lifecycle and product positioning issues. Develop and maintain internal and external partner relationships at all levels to contribute to category growth. Align with Product Management to drive product offerings and earn incremental funding. Analyze industry information to identify opportunities and strategies to increase partner sales. Report on supply chain metrics, including days of supply, aging inventory, backorders, lead time, and primary supplier fill rate. Provide monthly reporting outlining various metrics and revenue data, including buy-ins and rebates.

Established and maintained relationships with key personnel to purchase overstocks, discontinued items and liquidation closeouts from brand name manufacturers throughout the country. Composed and revised purchase orders for entire buying department and negotiated bids price bids with vendors.  Reviewed invoices for accuracy.  Performed relief receptionist duties (multi-line switchboard, greeting guests, FedEx/UPS/U.S. mail distribution) and offered interdepartmental support when needed.

Duties included answering incoming calls and emails, greeting and signing in guests at reception desk, verifying employee credentials, opening, sorting, and distributing incoming mail, reports, and deliveries (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL) as well as outgoing confidential interoffice correspondence, requisitioning office supplies, scheduling and coordinating meetings for all department heads, itemizing and submitting managerial expense accounts and company invoices into OTP and Excel databases.

Liaison between law firms (clients) and process servers dealing primarily in mortgage foreclosures. Entered new court case information into proprietary database (Tracker). Assigned process servers to serve legal documents and take photographs of the property as needed. Scanned and uploaded documents, reviewed content for accuracy, closed and invoiced files.
