Now a bit about me: 

I'm a proud Mancunian, living on one of my favourite islands... Ibiza! 🇬🇧 ✈️ 🇪🇸 

For the last 25 years, I’ve mostly worked in sales, from door to door, to telesales and then into management where I’ve been proud to turn underperforming teams into top performing teams. I've worked in telecoms, marketing, financial services and more recently tech (SaaS). 

Over the years, I’ve also done stints in customer service where I’ve gone around the business looking at how different back-office functions can perform better, through a mixture of recruitment, staff training, new business processes or even new technology. I've created new roles and new teams that have gone on to make huge differences within the businesses. 

As you can see, from creating winning sales teams to fixing broken processes, my journey's been as varied as a British summer - which is why I packed my bags & jetted off! 💼 ✈️ ☀️ 

When I’m not working, you can find me in the following places... 

🏖 On the beach. 
💃 On the dance floor.
📚 With my head in a good book. 
🐶 Mooching around Ibiza with my dog. 
🧠 Learning new skills (more recently marketing).

I make games and virtual environments that respect your intelligence.

My work follows four principles: minimal, abstract, difficult, entertaining. I don't hold your hand. I don't explain everything. I trust you to figure things out. The best games challenge you. The best experiences make you think.

I graduated from De Montfort University in 2020 with a 2:1 in Artificial Intelligence. During my five years there, I helped found the DMU Hackers Society. I represented students on my course. I joined the Games Development Society and Chess Club. More importantly, I learned how systems think.

My degree covered the foundations: C++ programming, embedded systems, mobile robotics, fuzzy logic, knowledge-based systems. I studied AI before it became fashionable. I learned computational modelling and mechanics for simulation. I built neural networks by hand. I programmed robots to navigate rooms.

This technical background shapes everything I create now.

My games strip away the unnecessary. No tutorials that treat you like a child. No constant notifications begging for attention. No systems designed to waste your time. I build experiences that respect you.

Abstract means building from pure shapes and spaces. I start with basic geometry and elevation changes. Simple loops that let players see where they've been and where they need to go. Clean layouts before decoration. Difficult doesn't mean unfair. It means offering real challenge, not artificial gates. Entertaining doesn't mean easy. It means engaging your mind, not just your reflexes.

I also create virtual environments. The same principles apply. Clean interfaces. Purposeful design. No clutter. Every element earns its place.

My approach comes from studying how intelligent systems work. AI taught me that the most elegant solutions are often the simplest. The best algorithms don't waste operations. The best code doesn't waste words. The best games don't waste your time.

I founded the Hackers Society because I believed students needed a space to build things outside the curriculum. We learned by doing. We failed fast. We helped each other. That spirit stays with me.

I'm building the games I want to play. The virtual environments I want to inhabit. The experiences I wish more developers would create.
