When the candidates are so strong they end up taking both!

Celebratory lunch yesterday with Claire and Alex whilst they were in town for their first week in their new roles. 

One of the rubbish parts of recruitment is being equally invested in both candidates at final stages and having to let one of them know that they’ve not been offered. 

Luckily this time round we didn’t have that problem… 

Congrats again Claire and Alex, excited to see what you bring to the table for 2026 and beyond!

A different Friday than usual last week. 

A jet lagged Mum arrived from over the pond with enough medical supplies to stock Chemist Warehouse. 

After a few mishaps with Airbnb hosts and no access to mobile data we spent the afternoon unwinding at Soak bathhouse. 

And we’re off to Noosa this Friday.

Feeling very blessed to have Mum here the next few weeks. Just need Melbourne to sort out this bloody weather!

'I'm not sure it's right for me James'

I approached Lucy about a month ago with a new opportunity. She had been in her current role for 5 years, smashing targets and a key member of her team. 

So understandably when I approached her, she had her reservations. 

Fast forward 4 weeks, a few interview rounds and a meet the team, we've only gone and secured Lucy a new role for 2026, in a entirely new industry.
