The role of Sales Operations Manager was created as part of building out the sales and marketing team, headed up by the Director of Sales. Responsibilities were related to report development, developing training material and coaching the sales team on sales skills and technical skills as well as day to day sales management supporting the sales manager.

Sales Operations Manager

Company was growing at the time, and we had several buildings. It was becoming a challenge to handle the various buildings without processes in place. I managed a small team of people, who handled the day to day building management, negotiated with contractors, building owners, local authorities etc. to ensure a smooth daily operation of the company.

Additionally, I also oversaw the IT department, whose job was to ensure all ~180 workstations were always up and running. As there had been no process in place for running IT within the company, we had a lot of work ahead of us to ensure IT operations ran smoothly.

IT & Facilities Manager

After a company restructure adding a management layer, I was the first manager, and the only person to get promoted to this management layer within Real Estate Webmasters. As the Support & Implementation Manager, I oversee 40+ people in 7 departments. As no management layer had been in place previously, a lot of work was required to streamline production within the customer service and implementation department. The restructure resulted in:

- Streamlining the supply chain
- Increased productivity by creating specialist roles
- Greatly improved the customer onboarding process

Further to restructuring the existing teams, I created several new roles to take care of the demand for tools and statistics, better bug tracking and bug fixing and mass patching.

- Migrated codebase from SVN to GitHub which means custom development of sites is now far more efficient, and we can manage the very large number of individual, custom websites
- Developed several statistics tools to get better insights into the company's performance

I also oversee a team of server administrators and data feed analysts as they manage 2000+ VM's with individual codebases and 400+ data feeds. Some of the challenges have been due to the sheer amount of VM's, various versions of codebases, various versions of server software and the custom nature of the products.

- Managed several migrations of clients from Plesk and Openstack environments to new Openstack environment
- Standardization of server software versioning and codebases for easier management
- Migrate feeds from Plesk to Openstack cloud
- Implement CDN for all customers

Support and Implementation Manager

Within the first 2.5 months of starting as Sales Manager, I achieved my goal of increasing the old sales record by 20% in a month, and actually beat it by 50%! Beat the old record twice more that fiscal year.

Developed and implemented tracking tools and improved the following KPI's:
- Average Close Rate: 20% increase
- Increased "New Customer Acquisition" by 314%

Develop and implemented a sales process tailored to the team's type of sales. With an ever increasing team, having a strong, tried and tested sales process makes it much easier bringing new people onboard.

I'm very dedicated to my craft and even more dedicated to spreading my knowledge and motivating my team to be peak performers. Even with my own professional goals, I always make time to help my staff sell and explain the how's and why's of a sales situation. Main areas covered optimizing procedures and processes in a call center operation as well as being the representative from Customer Service &amp; Support working with an external LEAN optimization group. Making sure service and support departments from all over the country understood and followed new support material. Also I was in charge of facilitating updates of the intranet we used for our support staff as well as working closely with TDC Online who is responsible for the external website.

Product manager responsible for PBX’s and applications for the LG IPecs, LG LDK/GDK, Kirk Telecom products, Business Phone from Ericsson and headsets from GN Netcom Denmark and Plantronics. Managed the portfolio of routers and switches from Cisco. Company representative at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. Head of various product groups I belonged to, where I was in charge of making sure implementations of new products were done in a proper and timely manner.
