Created a B2B translator for sites like Amazon.in that cached data in MySQL (Python on Linux). Modified a Drupal project and helped the technical team. Primary responsibilities: change an existing Drupal project via the web interface & manually into an achievement from a deliverable, teach the technical team how to store projects, including Wordpress projects, on a Version Control System and produce a translator in Python, which crawled the base page for a site and stored the content locally along with the included style sheets. The engine would also parse the Javascript and style sheets to include their content.

Created a tree-drawing algorithm with a GUI in Java, a type-checking compiler, an automatically scrolling view of fireworks in OpenGL and a module estimating solutions to equations. Learnt to how to accurately estimate the time needed to solve an assignment and completing a project by the due time, even if felt the solution was not optimal.

At Evelyn Learning I prepared the solutions to problems given in textbooks that teach how to program a computer. The books have included Algorithms by Aho, Ulla and Sethi, a text on programming with the OpenGL library and texts on learning programming languages such as C++ and Java.

Content Developer

Pragmatum Training Pvt. Ltd.

Extended Gocr to output OpenOffice documents containing figures, images and charts; and added LDAP support (C on Linux; System administration on Win32 & Linux). Essential tasks: Hack into the source of Gocr and understand the OpenDocument Format. Combine these so that the output resembles the input; make the LDAP server functional and get the LDAP clients to communicate with the server; and learnt how to move from just writing a program to creating a self-explanatory solution.

Software Developer & System Administrator

Created a messaging module that passed messages. Made a status-listing app for devices, an app listing the services running and support programs. Wrote a device driver for in-house hardware in C on Linux.  Maintained an existing WiFi LAN stack that was in C on Linux. Added SNMP v2 support and created a CLI interface for a Notification module.
