I got rejected for every single trading job I applied for.

I didn’t have the right qualifications and I didn’t know where to start.

In fact, people laughed when I said I wanted to become an investor because at the time I was a broke graduate.

However, I took a risk and signed up for a trading seminar in London. I got the overnight bus from Cologne.

The seminar was basic but it taught me two key concepts:

1. Those who are disciplined make money
2. Trading is scalable and gains are exponential

It got me started on my path. I realised that the opportunity to trade for a living was there if I worked for it. 

That week, I cashed out my small tracker fund and maxed out the biggest loan I could from Deutsche Bank. 

It went straight into my trading account.

And since December 13th 2016, I’ve been trading the markets for a living. 

I love learning about new companies and technologies, finding out why stocks move, and how to extract profits from financial markets.

My goal is to trade full time and have investments in a number of businesses.

Having worked my way up the ranks from 1st Line Helpdesk Technical Support to On Site Technical Elite leaving Capita to take Clout full-time wasn't a decision I took lightly. I had built up a solid rapport with my customers over my nearly 13 years with the company supporting them throughout the Education Sector with all levels of their IT infrastructure and support. This varied from firefighting technical issues and then - when they realised that getting new kit in would be more effective - installing new hardware, software and peripherals as well as planning and implementing entire networks.
All of this would be project managed by me personally and with constant liaison with the customer and I'd draw on resources from team members when required as well as nearly daily communications with an amazing sales team in Bedford. Out of all of my Capita career I think I miss them most of all!

During my time with Forever Living Products I had two roles. These were to find, recruit, coach and train new team members following FLP's approved system. The second role was to retail Forever's health & wellbeing products.
It was during my last few months with FLP that I was researching ways to speed up the recruitment wheel and its was then where I discovered the concept of video marketing. 
Honestly, when I learnt about what can be accomplished with video marketing I decided to close my Forever business and start up Clout Media - or "Luke's Video Marketing Company". Terrible egotistical name I know but I needed something to put on the tax form for that year!

In life & business it's really important to me that I'm able "to help, train & support people so that they are able to create a better life for themselves and others” in all that I do. 

Before I started Clout I'd always been involved in customer service throughout my professional career so I'm well versed at listening to what a potential customer is looking for and then finding an appropriate solution. Whatever job I was doing I'd do all this whilst having fun and building great rapport and relationships with prospective customers and clients alike.

Do you like public speaking? I know I do. I think I'm one of the rare few who actually like the idea of public speaking and as a huge fan of business networking as I enjoy presenting to audiences in an interactive and engaging style.

CPD is important in all aspects of like and as such I'm constantly studying new techniques, technologies industry changes within my niche for new content and ideas. 

Like Buzzwords?

Buzzwords that have been used by others to describe me have included ambitious, thoughtful and a dedicated individual who strives to meet his objectives in any scenario. At my last job interview I was told that I "had character". To this day I still don't know what he meant but I got the job!

My primary focus now is to help businesses and individuals wherever I can with addressing their video marketing needs. This is first and foremost based on finding out what the client’s message is that they want to get across to their audience then putting forward the technical solution to meet & deliver their needs.
