Hi, I’m Michael Salvartsis, Founder and Principal Buyers Agent of Real Property Buyers. 

Bricks and mortar have been the cornerstones of my career ever since discovering the excitement of the property industry. The evolution and change of the property form is something I have always found intriguing.

It all began after graduating in Economics and Accounting at the University of Sydney which provided the backbone for my business acumen.

I then pursued my passion for Property Valuation, Consulting and Property Risk working for some of the biggest names in the industry including CommBank, HSBC Bank and Chesterton International.

With a desire to help and educate people in the challenging real estate market, I founded Real Property Buyers in 2017 - an independent property buyers agency.
For me, it’s about creating a genuine, trustworthy experience so we can significantly impact one of the biggest decisions in our clients' lives.

I’m about bringing a personal touch to the work I do: that means walking a mile in the shoes of my clients to truly understand what’s important to them. As we guide them through what can be a daunting process, I see my role as an educator, removing uncertainty and creating confidence in the property outcomes they’re looking for.

In addition to my Accounting and Economics degree, my property industry qualifications include an Associate Diploma of Business (Valuation), a Buyer’s Agency Licence and also a member of both the Australian Property Institute and the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales.

- Primary responsibility for adherence to APRA’s CPS 220 Risk Management Prudential Standard and implementation of the Risk Management Framework, including develop and manage risk appetite statements, manage, and lead CPS 220 Forum, and identify enterprise emerging and material risks.
- Manage the risk governance and reporting requirements including the enterprise risk management meeting and Board Risk Committee.
- Lead and risk steward risk classes including model risk, reputational risk, insurable risk and climate and modern slavery risk.
- Chief Operating Officer for Risk and Compliance including management of resourcing, budget planning and cost management, people management and culture agenda.
- Lead the ESG Risk function including develop the climate risk programme in line with CPG 229 requirements and develop and manage modern slavery requirements.
