Vice President - Business Unit Head & Country Director ( SAARC Nations)

Globacom 

Role: $130 mil P&L Business Executive leadership role for consumer telecom business for all 3G data, mobile/ fixed line voice and wireless applications for consumers clients across Nigeria and bordering geographies. Lead implementation of operating ABP along with bottom line for quality business acquisition by assessing revenue potential to maximize unit’s EBIT plans. Responsible for determining new revenue streams, oversee major pricing decisions, monthly financial performance with the various support groups based on opportunities and enterprise customer needs covering all segments from MNC, Corporate, SME to micro business. Define business objectives to implement short, mid & long-term corporate goals. Keep management and the Board fully informed on all aspects of operational performance, reporting against agreed KPIs. 

Significant contribution to department by-

•      Various Leadership role in B2B and B2C business during 6 years tenure in West Africa.
•	Managed to lead successful closure of various telecom services & solutions deals to Enterprise Customers within Diversified Conglomerates, Oil & Gas, Logistics and Infrastructure sector with sizable revenue income up to $12-14 Mil yearly. 
•	Sponsor for automation of the B2B Sales (ES) process to record all sales to cash transaction for proper  monitoring and recording.
•	Supervised selective network coverage roll-out (BTS/ Boosters/ Repeaters/ WiFi Spots) and optimization for commercial business districts nationally with annual capex of $60 Mil.

Business Director - 3G Mobility Operations, West Africa

Tata Teleservices Ltd and Tata Communications Ltd. (afk VSNL), Mumbai, India

Role: Responsible to build and nurture relationship with key partners, including Transformation Management Consultants (like McKinsey & Co, E&Y) Carriers/and other IT players (like Tata Com, TCS, IBM) to put the company on growth trajectory, in terms of Products, Services, and Market Share. Drove the successful Enterprise Service Policy and laid down its IT framework for adoption by the company. Identified and implemented new measures for enhancing the efficiency of service operations and bench marking against ‘Best Industry Practices’. Established new ICE (Interactive Call Centre for Enterprise) at Noida from Greenfield stage.

Achievement includes –

•	Established green field Small & Medium Business (SMB) and SOHO Pan Indian operations base worth Rs. 7400 mil (about $100 mil) with advisory support from Mckinsey & Co. in 6 quarters.
•	Maintained focus on achieving at least 40% EBIT results while formulating and implementing advanced wireless technology and business solutions to meet a diversity of needs in different SMB verticals. 
•	Oversaw the new product (prepaid & postpaid) interventions/ development, created and established fresh channel (80 Direct & 200 Indirect), sizing channel capillarity & training's.

Business Head (AVP Level) – SMB & SOHO Transformation & Operations

EBS Role: National Vertical Head (BFSI, IT & ITES, Media & Services, Manufacturing, Govt.) responsibility of Rs. 4700 mil (about $110 mil) in establishing the enterprise business for handling telecom (Wire line/ mobile/ mobile applications & wireless solutions) business for over 2000 top national enterprise & government accounts across India in 19 telecom circles. Achievements were - 
•	Acted as an expert resource in the development of client sales strategies, geography-wide for the selected telecom solution. 
•	Identified the best telecom product/ solution to resolve client's business issues and replicated same to other clients in the industry. 
•	Shared leads, ensured healthy sales pipeline and also ensured that the opportunity management systems are updated. Managed to the highest levels of client satisfaction on the offerings from Tata group.

Customer Care Role: Responsible for 6 Mil subs at pan India call centre operations (Complaints management and field operations, outbound business, service marketing, customer care process assurance, retail processes for customer experience, customer life cycle management). Contribution detailed as below – 

•	Managed financial contracts worth Rs.17cr ($4 mil) with vendors of various customer delivery functions.
•	Created team of customer service analyst to maximize the value & impact of process assurance by ensuring on-time delivery of first time right resolution and other agreed deliverables with required level of Quality Standards as per TRAI guidelines. (First of its kind in Industry)
•	Ensured achievement of AOP and strategies over defined KPI’s (C-sat & E- sat scores), CSM and SLA adherence by focusing on motivational plans and process orientation in team.
•	Significantly played an instrumental role in business process re-engineering for service transformation thru KPMG. Mentored, coached and motivated the team members towards high productivity and performance across team of 1100 agents including vendor partners.

GM - Enterprise Business Services & Additional Dual Role of GM & Head - Customer Care & Call Centre

Role: Managed revenue relationships of about Rs.810 million (Approx $22 mil) across above sector through focus on products & solutions offerings on MPLS VPN, IPLC, IBW, LL, VSAT, NLD networks,  Hosting & Data centre services, managed network services, network security services et.al. High points of assignment were - 

•	Penetrated fresh relationships where no prior telecom business coming to Tata Group in early 2003 by offering networking products/ solutions that generated fresh business worth over Rs. 447 million in less than 6 quarters. 
•	Secured the first extended enterprise connectivity order of an auto major for the group worth Rs.185 Mil over 12 quarters. 
•	Established Tata Group in gaining over 45% market share of the client’s data telecom spent with in this sector.

Head - Manufacturing & Distribution Industry Practice (Data & Voice Solutions)

NITCO LIMITED

Responsible for boosting brand marketing, product launches & brand communication strategy for the group in floor/ wall tiles, vitrified dirt-free tiles,  exterior paints and Italian Marbles. 

• Developed e-2-e marketing plans for Rs 5000 Mil ($150 Mil) brand (Pull Factor) and generated interest from potential architect clients. 
• Launched Inviza Range ($10 Mil Business) – Dirt Free Tiles as Industry First thru Ogilvy & Mather India.
• Guided and coached marketing team on complete product range branding, new product launches, pricing, packaging, uniform visibility, trade promotions, consumer research, media (OOH/ Print and TVC), public relations and promotional events. 
• Formulated strategies for market growth, production forecasts as per market/ geography requirement, trade support and awareness initiatives among target group, worked closely along with advertising and public relations agency on these initiatives for India and Exports market.
• Initiated opinion and influencer program with over 3000 architects, interior designers and builders along with PR agency at national level in India.

DAEWOO Motors India Ltd.

Passenger Cars (Cielo, Matiz) sales and service for western region (Mumbai, Rest of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat & MP) of over Rs 1100 Crs ($200+mil) annually. Managed sales and service forecasts for the region, chalked out an annual marketing plan, sales budgeting and manage regional working capital requirements. Planned business expansion through better co-ordination with financing co’s, improving media relations, appointment of new dealers and authorized service centers with total team of 23 people and 47 dealers. Encouraged them for continuous up gradation of existing channel network on business operations and systems. Achievement highlighted are -

• Created $200 Mil revenues business for western region by planning business expansion through launching subvention schemes with financing Co’s and improving media relations thru PR agencies, 
• Appointed over 21 new financially strong dealers and multi-brand authorization service centers with total team of 23 people taking network strength to 47 dealers in western region.
• Later, headed corporate marketing assignment managing advertising agency, media relationships and brand launch. 
• Created & Launched 1st Birthday of Matiz car campaign in FY 2000 – TV Commercial / Print Ads/ Show Room BTL activities and activations nationally across 450+ dealerships when small cars were being launched in India specially against Hyundai Santro. 
• Managed sales & service forecasts for the region, chalked out an ABP & AMP, regional sales budgeting and manage regional working capital requirements. 
• Reinforced service network with proper spare -parts stocking for after sales network as Matiz was recent hatch back launch in India and required trained service set-up for new technology small cars.

Start-up cellular operations (Channel identification, creation and establishment, developing business cases to reflect the ROI and added value of these services) for markets in parts of UP (W). Planned market expansion and implementation of promotions/ campaigns and innovative trade schemes in parts of UP (West). Managed local events, channel training's and handle channel conflicts. Planned further value added services, cash card launches, parallel channel creation and retail operations. Developed, supported and managed both the Direct and Indirect channels of acquisition to achieve zonal objectives and targets. Managed zonal promotion campaigns, handled issues related to the pricing & zonal promotional policies, local advertising, events and other market support activities. Ensured optimum level of customer satisfaction by reducing process time & cost while focusing on operational efficiency.

Chief Manager - UP West Zone Operations

Profit centre Tamilnadu & Kerala branch head position handling branch sales operations, after sales service, managed larger Govt. accounts and managed existing channel network of 4 C & F, 52 Dealers. The DSO was brought with in manageable limits of little over month from earlier over 24 weeks. Initiated large Govt. rate contracts for continuous growth with a team of 6 people. Developed, supported and trained the channel on new market opportunities for sustained growth.

Branch Manager - Tamilnadu & Kerala

Ashish is a CXO with 33+yrs of P&L, techno-commercial blended resource, registered professional for Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria with multi-culture, multi-functional and multi-geography experience professional and Member - IOD. 

He is P&L leader delivering $200+ mil revenues and currently working in toughest emerging African market (covid period, demonetization era, 60%+ devalued currency, fuel subsidy removed govt regime) driving the market share, market penetration and delivered 2X growth, posting healthy profits to promotors/ shareholders along with 400+ people team in Nigeria.
