I've watched too many creators hit 5K, 10K, 20K, 50K followers and still have no idea how to turn it into a single dollar... so here is how👇 

Growth without direction is just a vanity metric with extra steps🫠

Start with the takeaway, not the story:
Know the ONE thing someone will do differently after reading your post. 
Build the whole thing backwards from there. 
If you can't explain the value in one sentence, it's not ready.

Your hook is either working or it isn't:
Rewrite it until it makes YOU stop scrolling mid-feed. 
Most posts fail in the first two lines. 
Every time.

Run all three content types every week:
Stories and wins to attract new eyes. 
Authority posts to build credibility. 
Problem-to-solution posts to convert. 
Skip any one of them and your pipeline quietly stalls.

Your specific career story is your moat:
Nobody else has your exact path, your specific lessons, or your particular way of seeing things. 
Stop softening that to sound more "professional." 
That IS the professional advantage.

Warm and direct is a strategy, not a personality quirk:
LinkedIn is saturated with identical corporate content. 
Being a real human with a real voice is literally how you stand out. 
Lean into it 💕

Two intentional posts a week beat seven rushed ones:
Every. Single. Time. 
The algorithm rewards depth of engagement, not volume. 
Quality will always win this race.

Block 90 minutes after every post for responding, not creating:
Your comment section is your distribution engine. 
Treat it like one. 
Reply to every comment. 
Move the right conversations into DMs. 
That's where the real stuff happens.

Stop posting and immediately refreshing your analytics:
Track saves, meaningful comments, and profile visits, not likes. 
Those three signals tell you whether you're building real authority or just filling a feed.

And finally, make it stupidly easy for people to work with you:
Link in bio. 
Email in your About section. 
Featured sections with clear CTAs
If someone has to hunt for how to hire you, they won't.

The creators I watch win consistently on LinkedIn are posting with a clearer point of view, a more specific audience, and a strategy that connects content to actual revenue.

Video editing… 

What drove me crazy was how long it took to EDIT a video.

I'd record something in 10 minutes… then spend 45 minutes cutting it. 

Removing the ums… 
Fixing pauses... 

Then I found Descript and their AI editor, Underlord

And i’m never going back to “regular editing”

I picked up a camera for the first time when I was 6. I still haven’t put it down. I literally have footage from every stage in my life to prove it. From the moment I picked up the Sony Handycam, I was obsessed with storytelling. 

Everybody has a story to tell — whether it’s a hidden voice, a brand or a 6-year-old kid with a camera. In whatever I do, I aim to tell the untold story.

You're losing viewers in the first five seconds.

Not because your content is bad. Because you won't get to the point.

"Hey guys! So today I wanted to talk about something that's been on my mind lately, and I've been thinking about this a lot..."

Nobody asked for the origin story. Just say the thing.

Direct content works because it becomes quotable. Snackable. The sentence someone repeats to a friend. The moment that makes someone hit rewind.

Two fixes:
1. Lead with the answer, not the setup.

Don't ask "have you ever wondered why your content isn't getting views?" Just say "your hooks suck."

2. Ask yourself, "Would I text this to a friend?"

If you wouldn't send three paragraphs over the blue message app, don't do it on camera.

Your videos should sound like how you actually talk. Not how you think a "content creator" is supposed to sound.

Your camera angle is telling people who you are before you say a word. 📐

Most people just prop their phone up wherever and hit record. That's a mistake.

Where you place that camera changes how your audience feels about you.

Three angles. Three different messages:

Camera below you = authority/confidence. You take up more space. You're literally looking down at your audience. It reads as confidence and power. The "you should listen to me" angle. I think it looks kinda cool. 

Camera above you = approachability. More casual, more intimate. It makes you look relatable in the best way. Use this when you want to connect, not command.

Eye level = trust. Neutral, balanced, conversational. You're not above your audience or below them, you're talking with them. Works for almost everything.

None of these are wrong. They're just different tools.

Your white wall is killing your content.

B2B creators confuse "professional" with "forgettable." Same ring light. Same fake plant. Same beige void.

Nobody remembers the video, and nobody remembers you.

Your background is part of your brand. A bookshelf, vintage posters, a neon sign... these aren't distractions. They're the reason someone stops scrolling and starts connecting.

B2B is still human to human. Let your setup prove there's actually a human behind it.

Two quick fixes:

1. Ask yourself: does my background say anything about me? If not, add something.
2. Use depth. Don't sit flat against a wall, layer your space.

Stop treating "clean" like it's the same as "good."

I almost stopped editing completely last year.

Got promoted at my job, became a "marketer," and slowly the thing I actually loved doing just disappeared from my life.

So I'm leaning in.

There are two mistakes people make when trying to correct their mistakes while recording videos:

1. Stop what they're saying, and start from the top
2. Power through

Both of those things are nightmares to an editor. Either I'm watching you say the the intro a hundred times, or I'm leaving your stutter in

When you make a mistake while recording, pause. Take a deep breath. Then just go to the top of the sentence you were saying. 

No need to start over, no need to power through

All that matters in the edit is that a clean version of the important lines exists 🫡

People hire me for the production of the content itself. The video IS the deliverable.

Imagine hiring a photographer and telling them you'll pay them a cut of sales if the photos convert well. Or asking a copywriter to work on commission.

The first Founding 10 update is here! 

Last week, I announced a goal to do 10 total product videos at a rate of €1500, and I was honestly overwhelmed with how quickly things moved from there. 

We had two completed at the start.
Four contracts signed. 
Three situationships still in the talking phase.

Leaving just one spot completely open. 

But, situationships aren't signed contracts, so first come, first serve. 

I've already completed scripts for 3/4 of the new clients, started storyboarding for 2/4, and we'll get to animating for at least one of them this week. 

I even had my first product vid client come back for a second vid. 

Busy month, but all good things :)

Last week, an Instagram ad actually worked on me

I picked up a couple Retro-pia lenses - if you bought the pink one in support of breast cancer awareness, you automatically got the oreo one soooo why not?

These lenses are supposed to make your camera shoot with a vintage dispo cam vibe

First note, I didn't fully realize these were manual and out of focus until I was editing

Second note, I see the potential

This isn't at all for a professional recording. This is a "just have fun" type of lens to make cinematic vids

I'm going to test out staggering shutter speeds and frame rates for a cinematic style vid this week. 

But yeah, just a fun note that making vids should be fun, and we should be experimenting with stuff we normally wouldn't use :)

Romana asked me why a human on camera is worth the investment over an AI avatar.

Short answer: AI can fake a face. It can't fake a feeling.

There's something happening right now where people are gravitating back to analog. Think about dispo cams, vinyl records, film photography. 

There's something we've been loving about the imperfect-ness of physical items. 

The same thing is happening in content.

In the tech industry especially, your buyers are exhausted by polished, frictionless, AI-smoothed everything.

A real human on camera with all their natural presence cuts through in a way no avatar can.

So you still haven't started your 2026 resolution to learn video editing? Wild, but okay. Time to make March your redemption arc.

I mapped out exactly what I'd consume this month if I was starting from absolute zero. 

Step one: pick your software (and stop overthinking it)

Step two: actually follow through this time.

I broke it down by YouTube channels (with specific videos so you're not doomscrolling), books that'll make you understand why edits hit (not just how to click buttons), podcasts you can binge on your commute, and creators who are genuinely worth studying right now.

The barrier to entry is literally nonexistent at this point.

March Video Editing Curriculum

Your voice doesn't actually sound horrible, the technology just isn't processing what your saying

There's two main ways to that your vocals work:
1. Throat voice
2. Chest voice

Throat voice is typically higher pitched, and that's not a bad thing, it just might be jarring when you hear your voice

When I'm on camera, I like to speak from my chest - basically in a lower pitched voice

When videos are posted to socials, the tops and bottoms of the audio waveform are cut. That's why you might think you sound weird if you have a naturally higher pitched voice

So, try this out, and let me know if you like your voice on camera (I can't help you if you still hate it)

I want to make more product explainer videos. So, last week I made an offer.

A life hack to making new friends in a new city in your 20s:

Being able to say, “Whatever time works for you, I work for myself, so I can hang whenever.” 

Flexible schedules are peak 

Sometimes it’s a morning workout that lasts till lunch

Sometimes it’s a café in the middle of the day 

Or maybe a therapy session on the other side of town

Or when I can convince Romana to log off early on Fridays for a drink 

I’m still working 45-50 hours a week, but it’s paced based on what works for me
