I've watched too many creators hit 5K, 10K, 20K, 50K followers and still have no idea how to turn it into a single dollar... so here is how👇 

Growth without direction is just a vanity metric with extra steps🫠

Start with the takeaway, not the story:
Know the ONE thing someone will do differently after reading your post. 
Build the whole thing backwards from there. 
If you can't explain the value in one sentence, it's not ready.

Your hook is either working or it isn't:
Rewrite it until it makes YOU stop scrolling mid-feed. 
Most posts fail in the first two lines. 
Every time.

Run all three content types every week:
Stories and wins to attract new eyes. 
Authority posts to build credibility. 
Problem-to-solution posts to convert. 
Skip any one of them and your pipeline quietly stalls.

Your specific career story is your moat:
Nobody else has your exact path, your specific lessons, or your particular way of seeing things. 
Stop softening that to sound more "professional." 
That IS the professional advantage.

Warm and direct is a strategy, not a personality quirk:
LinkedIn is saturated with identical corporate content. 
Being a real human with a real voice is literally how you stand out. 
Lean into it 💕

Two intentional posts a week beat seven rushed ones:
Every. Single. Time. 
The algorithm rewards depth of engagement, not volume. 
Quality will always win this race.

Block 90 minutes after every post for responding, not creating:
Your comment section is your distribution engine. 
Treat it like one. 
Reply to every comment. 
Move the right conversations into DMs. 
That's where the real stuff happens.

Stop posting and immediately refreshing your analytics:
Track saves, meaningful comments, and profile visits, not likes. 
Those three signals tell you whether you're building real authority or just filling a feed.

And finally, make it stupidly easy for people to work with you:
Link in bio. 
Email in your About section. 
Featured sections with clear CTAs
If someone has to hunt for how to hire you, they won't.

The creators I watch win consistently on LinkedIn are posting with a clearer point of view, a more specific audience, and a strategy that connects content to actual revenue.

I'm a professional quitter... and I'm proud of it.
I quit teaching... with a master's degree.

The hardest question I got on my way out was "but what about the kids?"

Truth is, when I was teaching, I felt confined. 

So I chased the childhood dream I was never allowed to chase.

News reporter 

Longer hours. Middle of nowhere. $9 an hour.
Still lost.

......Then a layoff that forced my hand.

And then one day I walked into my own office.
Just me. 
My dream. 
My decisions.

Day one... it immediately felt right.
Because this is what I've been training for.

I wear a lot of hats, like sales, marketing, video creation, editing, HR, management, and so much more…but my least favorite? 

Video editing… 

What drove me crazy was how long it took to EDIT a video.

I'd record something in 10 minutes… then spend 45 minutes cutting it. 

Removing the ums… 
Fixing pauses... 

Then I found Descript and their AI editor, Underlord

And i’m never going back to “regular editing”

I started backstage, designing experiences for artists like Snoop Dogg, Bob Dylan, and James Taylor. Night after night, you learn what lands, what doesn’t, and how quickly trust is earned—or lost. That’s where I learned a lesson I’ve never shaken: experience is the brand. Long before dashboards or funnels, people decide what they believe based on how something makes them feel.

2️⃣ Act II: Complexity at Scale
I moved into consulting and enterprise work, helping Fortune 50 organizations navigate change. I saw how systems, storytelling, and incentives collide—and how fast credibility erodes when clarity breaks down. That’s where I learned to simplify without dumbing things down, and to treat trust as a strategic asset.

3️⃣ Act III: High-Growth Tech
I’ve since led marketing for VC- and PE-backed companies, from early stage to $350M+ ARR, with real ownership of pipeline, revenue, and GTM execution. I’ve built PLG motions, enterprise demand engines, global teams, and the operating systems that keep growth from collapsing under its own weight.

4️⃣ Act IV: Head of Marketing & Chief Evangelist
Not the hype kind. The practical kind.

To me, evangelism is about showing your work—being transparent, opinionated, and close to customers. It’s how product, marketing, sales, and community stay pointed in the same direction, and how momentum turns into something durable.

That belief shows up most clearly in #opentohelp.

Each week, I hold free 1:1 conversations with builders, leaders, and people navigating what’s next. No pitch. No agenda. Those conversations keep me honest. They’re where I hear what’s confusing, what’s broken, and what actually helps—long before it shows up in a roadmap or a funnel.

People usually reach out when things feel complex, important, or slightly out of alignment—when growth is happening fast, when a story isn’t landing, when teams are working hard but pulling in different directions, or when someone just needs a thoughtful second set of eyes before making a big decision.
