It isn’t just my perspective gleaned over 25 years working as an underwriter or leader or producer in the insurance industry that influences the work I do with individuals and organizations today - it’s all of the experiences I've collected in my 45 years of life – and the experience we all have simply being human. You know I love to talk about it!

✈ I am the sole recipient (Class 1 2018) of the Melissa Marie Koolmo Achievement Award (excellence in initial flight attendant training).  Graduation Day: February 2, 2018.

✈ The primary role of every SkyWest flight attendant is to ensure the safety of our passengers, as well as provide the best possible customer experience, while onboard our aircraft.  This includes making sure that passengers comply with security regulations.  I am an ambassador between the airlines and the customer making him/her feel comfortable during the flight.  My responsibilities are to perform in-flight safety demonstrations as well as serve meals/snacks and drinks (if service is required).  Assist passengers when necessary on various aircrafts: ERJ175, CRJ900, CRJ700, CRJ550 and CRJ200 (between 50-76 passengers). Other roles are to order and restock supplies and to ensure I am in constant communication with my flight crew (Pilot in Command, First Officer and other Flight Attendant).  My current domicile is Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD).

► Member of The HMF Brands+Startups™ team.  I research venues for events, coordinate with catering and assist with registration for Brands+Startups™ events.  I help to recruit brands, startups and fellow volunteers.  Also, I assist with proofreading and editing various Heartland Mobile marketing materials.  Occasionally, I have done some live tweeting during events and am a non-professional photographer and will promote our events via social media channels, word-of-mouth and networking.

► As of May 2016, Brands+Startups™ kicked off our inaugural Brews+Startups!  We visit a different craft brewery in Chicago every other month, learn about beer and have the opportunity to network with startups.

National Marine Manufacturers Association

► Social media role (contract) including photography for the 2014 Progressive Insurance Chicago Boat, Sports & RV Show at McCormick Place and the 2014 Progressive Insurance Strictly Sail Chicago Boat Show at Navy Pier, of where more than 40,000 people were in attendance.  It was a customer-facing opportunity taking 200-400 photos daily with guests in front of outdoor paradise backdrops and dressing them in fun props.
