Founding CEO, editor-in-chief and director of marketing of GALO Magazine: a digital media company that covers global arts & entertainment, food & travel, and lifestyle & culture. 

My tasks included:
• Hiring talent and managing a team of 10 to 20 staff writers, interns, freelancers, and photographers.
• Defining and executing the business, editorial/content, marketing, advertising, sales, social media, and public relations strategies, while increasing brand awareness, profitability, and audience numbers. 
• Developing the content strategy, style guide, and editorial calendar.
• Managing and monitoring social media channels.
• Managing marketing campaigns, including planning, targeting, set-up, A/B testing, execution, optimization, and reporting. Marketing efforts include (earned, paid and organic): newsletters, email blasts, PR, social media, SEO, SEM, CPC, virtual events, e-commerce, sponsored/branded content, partnerships, among others. 
• Developing and writing marketing plans and marketing reports.
• Analyzing and tracking KPI’s and data in Google Analytics, Facebook, and other channels.
• Assigning, fact-checking, editing and publishing content, while providing writers with ongoing feedback. Content includes: articles, podcasts, videos, and photos.

CEO/Editor-in-Chief & Director of Marketing

Endgame360

As associate editor at the Cheat Sheet, a lifestyle and entertainment digital publication that delivers content in an approachable way to 14 million monthly unique visitors, I did the following:

• Fact-checked and edited new and evergreen content from staff writers and freelancers in accordance with in-house and AP style for grammar, brand voice and style, content, formatting (including Wordpress widgets and images), and SEO strength; often five articles a day. Verticals included Money & Career, Culture, Autos, Entertainment, Health & Fitness, and Gear & Style.
• Audited the live site for broken thumbnails, links and copyediting errors. 
• Managed two vertical-centric Facebook pages. Duties included creating, posting and scheduling daily content (42 posts a week) to two vertical pages and the main Facebook page, increasing organic reach, and driving engagement.
• Contributed to media partnership production planning by pitching ideas to the VP of Product. Daily duties included evaluating article performance in Google Analytics and in-house analytics tools (both organic and partnership related), as well as pitching article suggestions for media partners (approximately 20 a week) based on page views, time spent on site and pages, and/or the value of the content. Additionally, I provided daily feedback to the Senior Editors and the VP of Product regarding which evergreen content should be updated or expanded to increase engagement before it could be (or could continue to be) shared with partner media channels.
• Contributed suggestions and plans regarding social media strategy and content strategy, as well as provided thorough feedback on content to writers and Senior Editors.
• Collaborated with other associate editors to implement large-scale editorial style changes/updates.
• Attended three meetings per week with senior staff to discuss and coordinate editorial and content strategy duties.

While freelancing for The Post Eagle, I wrote several articles pertaining to Polish and Polish-American arts, lifestyle and entertainment, including a two-page interview with actress Izabella Miko.

I wrote three articles, two of which were written in English and published online. The third article was an interview in Polish with renowned food blogger and cookbook author Dorota Świątkowska, which was published both in print and online.

Chic Today

While working for Chic Today, I wrote four to five articles  a month on global art, entertainment (including music and film), travel and culture. The pieces consisted of features and interviews and averaged between 300 to 2,000 words. I would also compile photographs that would go along with the pieces, including photos that I took at events or exhibits.
