Provide business and legal advice for MTV, Nickelodeon and VH1 in the Pan Asian region, including India, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia.
• Work with the business strategy and finance group on deal structure for new and existing businesses in Pan
Asia (e,g: joint ventures).
• Responsible for distribution/syndication of program agreements across the region.
• Responsible for new media deals (including mobile) under the MTV mobile umbrella which includes licensing
of content and brand licensing.
• Responsible for content and creative related matters (including program acquisition and production deals,
format licensing, key events eg : MTV Asia Awards, MTV Lycra Fashion Awards).
• Responsible for music rights in relation to production and programming of content, including rights and
clearances, deal structure, and liaising with music collecting societies.
• Draft contracts and advice on rights of the company on various matters and liaise with outside counsel on
local law issues and regulatory matters where necessary.
