My role at Calgary Lighting Products is rewarding! My tasks are highly operational and impactful, which require me to think system-wide to incorporate several functions at once. 

I align business strategies to increase efficiency for a high performing sales team. This ranges from operational processes relating to sales, inventory & accounting, to the employee experience starting at recruitment. I designed an engaging orientation experience & trained each new hire on company-wide competencies. I advise the President on current employee relations situations, actively maintain a positive & productive culture, and determine relevant employee engagement activities for our team.

Working at WorleyParsons in the HR Administrator role was an experience filled with growth, learning, and wide exposure to HR functions. I worked on a team of 2 supporting 600 employees in day-to-day operations, serving as the first point of contact for HR needs and inquiries. I led and coordinated the weekly New Hire Orientations to convey local information while staying within Global guidelines, participated in campus recruitment, and built strong relationships with our managers and employees. 

Some of the other functions I was involved with include: 
-Mobilization of new hires by preparing and processing offer letters and paperwork 
-Demobilization employees by preparing and processing appropriate termination paperwork

Human Resources Administrator

As part of the National Information Management Servicedesk Team I was responsible to manage high volumes of calls, emails and walk-in users. This was done by logging tickets in ServiceNow, and resolving or escalating issues within a timely manner. Providing exceptional customer service to our employees was what we strived for. 

Other duties included: 
-Communicate effectively with the Human Resources department during employee departures, resulting in departures being dealt with efficiently and with strong controls.
-Championed initiatives to align processes with industry/company standards (across regions), resulting in greater alignment with business needs
-Assist with recruiting for Servicedesk Analysts nationally
-Host bi-weekly Servicedesk team meetings in order to communicate safety initiatives, change management and current updates, resulting in increased collaboration and team effectiveness

-Reviewed and revised Employee Handbook by thoroughly researching current legal policies and updating company compensation policies, resulting in an updated handbook distributed among employees.

-Streamlined training process by compiling detailed instruction manuals for the packing and delivery position as well as clerical position through hands-on experience.

Yet for some reason, I came home from work with crippling stomach pain for months...

I couldn't eat, sleep, work, or function without pain. 

It crushed me mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. 

Turns out, it was stress and I was burnt out. 

The two things that helped me the most to overcome burnout: 
1) Mindfulness
2) Regulating my emotions 

I didn't know these skills could change my life the way it did. 

Now I help others to live calmer, with more clarity, intention and ease.
