Why?

Burnout got the best of me.  

Like many of us, I checked off all the boxes of life:

Yet for some reason, I came home from work with crippling stomach pain for months...

I couldn't eat, sleep, work, or function without pain. 

It crushed me mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. 

Turns out, it was stress and I was burnt out. 

The two things that helped me the most to overcome burnout: 
1) Mindfulness
2) Regulating my emotions 

I didn't know these skills could change my life the way it did. 

Now I help others to live calmer, with more clarity, intention and ease.

I’ve had a love-hate relationship with LinkedIn the last 6 months.
 
Every time I opened it, I’d either get hit with those cringy “do this or fail” posts that feel fake and performative… or I’d see genuinely great stuff that made me root for people harder. Either way, I needed to step away.  When something feels off, I stop, notice the misalignment, and ask why I’m irritated in the first place.
 
And honestly… it was because I was forcing it.
 
When we force things, they stop feeling good. We pour time and energy into something only to feel stressed and further from our goals, and we rarely pause to ask, “What am I actually doing here???” If you skip that pause, you burn out and end up bitter, exhausted, and lashing out at people who did not sign up for your crap.
 
So I paused. And in that pause, I took action.  Cleaned up my feed.  Unfollowed the noise.  Got clear on how I want to show up here (if at all).
 
And now I’m back.  Not “new year, new me.” More like: same me, more perspective.
 
I actually like this platform.  I like the thoughtful posts, the ideas, the smart people doing cool things, and I'm excited to keep posting!
 
So if you’ve been grinding through something that feels irritating or draining, take a beat. Question it.  Change something because nothing changes if nothing changes!

Did my first in-person podcast with Neha Jog and it reminded me how much I love doing things in-person! 

All of my interviews have been virtual, so it was refreshing to sit across from someone and have a real conversation about burnout, stress, and what it means to stay human under pressure.

If you've been functioning well on the outside but grinding on the inside, sometimes one sentence can help lighten the load.
 
Here are 9 things I said to clients recently that helped things click: 
 
1. The thriller books you’re reading before bed
   are keeping you awake at night and 
   spiking your anxiety the next morning.
   
2. Being hard on yourself isn’t helpful. 
   Being honest with yourself is. 
   
3. Stressful situations happen. 
   It’s not about avoiding them. 
   It’s about how you handle them.
   
4. The more you ignore your frustration, 
    the stronger it'll get.
   
5. Emotions only last 90 seconds; 
   everything else is just the story that you get stuck in.
   
6. My job as a coach isn’t to take the hard sh*t away, 
   it’s to help you build the tools to deal 
   with the hard sh*t.
   
7. You have nothing to lose, 
   but you have everything to gain.
   
8. You don’t need 50% more time. 
    You need 50% less noise.
   
9. Saying you're always stressed without learning 
   how to change it is like saying you can't surf 
   without ever taking a lesson.
 
Most people don't know they need to hear these things. They just know they're stressed & overloaded...that something feels off, irritating, or harder than it should be.
 
My job is to help you see your patterns, and build the emotional and nervous system skills to change them.
 
Mindfulness and emotional intelligence aren't soft. It's how you stay sane, functional, and human under pressure.
