*Transition100 Coaching: The first 100 days of a new role are proven to be the most testing, challenging and vital. Be it a manager's role or leadership position, if you don't get this 'onboarding' time right, then you will never embed yourself into the new culture of your new employer. Coaching 1-2-1 once a fortnight allows you the safe space to explore and address your initial anxieties and fears. We look at what is preventing you from reaching peak performance, and look at various techniques you can apply to become more effective-quickly.

*People-Management Skills: Taking on that new role leading, managing or supervising others can be daunting at first. Confronting awkward scenerios, setting boundaries, knowing how to motivate your team, dealing with drama at work, identifying non-performers...for those new to this kind of role, it is a confusing and challenging time. During 1-2-1 sessions, we address all these hurdles to effective people management.

As London (and laterally, National Sales Manager) I was proud of taking a new innovative click flooring product (Proclick) to market across the UK. Building various sales channels within the events & entertainment industry, construction sector and brand/creative agencies taught me the importance of specification selling to strategic influencers & TV set designers.    

As I developed further into the role, (and learn more about the unique culture of the whole TV, film, events, branding and entertainment industry), I began to utilise the strong relationships built up with creatives, designers and producers to expand the selling portfolio of services available from S+H. This included lighting products like LED video screens, LED video floors, starcloths, & velvet drapes. 

Working with all manner of creatives across the sector, (including Corporates) I was fortunate to work on some of the UK's most widely recognised entertainment and events platforms, including Strictly Come Dancing, Family Fortunes, ITV's The Cube, Glastonbury, TV Awards and the pinnacle-London 2012 Olympics.

As co-founder and managing director of a brick and stone solutions supplier, SWBS, our client base included regional and national house-builders, developers, designers and architects. 

My key objectives for this start up was to grow and establish the business from a standing start, build a foundation of brand awareness in the market, develop a robust internal team, and build key manufacturer links- which included locating foreign quarries for the import of designer natural stone.

Key projects included Bovey Castle, Exeter Princesshay Shopping Development, Plymouth Science Park & Royal William Yard, Plymouth.

I eventually sold out my share holding in the business to Millwood Homes (Devon)

Managing and leading the south west region, based out of Exeter, Devon. Our team's primary role was to support our existing client base of national house-builders, regional construction companies and local developers, whilst also expanding the business with architects, specifiers and designers.
