Linkedin X Nano Banana 

You can’t “own” a color…

…but you 𝘤𝘢𝘯 get in trouble for using one.

And that’s what most people misunderstood from my first post.

A while back I posted:

“colors that are illegal to use”

It blew up.

→ 1.2M+ impressions
→ 2K+ followers
→ leads in the DMs

Even crazier:

a few other creators reposted the same carousel from my account…
and it performed for them too.
Because color isn’t decoration.

Color is signal.

It hits your audience 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 they read your headline.
It makes you feel premium… or makes you feel cheap.
It builds familiarity… or screams “who even is this?”

And when you copy someone else’s palette “because it looks nice”…

you don’t just copy a style.

you borrow their identity.

That’s how you get lost in the sea of sameness on LinkedIn:

same fonts
same gradients
same “personal brand templates”
different names… same vibe.

So I made this post to explain the 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 thing founders + creators miss:

A color isn’t “illegal” everywhere.

It becomes risky when you use it as a brand identity signal
in the same category
in a way that can confuse people.

Color - The Trademark Risk (Explained) 

Here’s the simplest LinkedIn framework:

Scan → Save → Follow

Text-heavy posts fail at step 1:
They don’t get scanned.

Not because you’re “bad” at writing.

Because LinkedIn is a scrolling platform.
People skim first.

Infographics pass step 1 instantly.
They’re built for:

✅ scanning (fast)
✅ saving (reference content)
✅ credibility (looks intentional)
✅ explaining (without over-explaining)
✅ repeating (same layout, new insights + brand consistency)

And the data backs it up:

LinkedIn has shared that adding images can drive a higher comment rate (often cited around ~2x)

UX research supports the “picture-superiority effect” (we remember visuals better)
