This is and was my first-ever side hustle. My uncle is an engineer, and he patented a revolutionary new technology for UV light air purifiers. When he asked me if I wanted to take over the sales department in the UK, I was so nervous — I had never done anything like this. 
Since then, it is fair to say I made a million mistakes on my journey! I have to oversee all marketing, sales, operations aspects in the UK on this project — and honestly: it is a lot.

But every sale feels like the best thing in the world!

Hi, I'm Mattia ✌🏻

I started as an SDR in Software Sales in 2020 and fell in love with Sales Development. Quickly, I realized that Sales isn't just an awesome profession but that you can also personally grow a lot from it. 

I started sharing my professional and personal learnings here on LinkedIn, which made me go out of my comfort zone and held me accountable for all the things I wanted to achieve. 

In 2022, I started building a community for German-speaking SDRs and what started out as a hobby, quickly became a fully fledged business that I now run together with my Co-Founder Helena.

Being a female thought leader in the B2B SaaS Sales Space has had its challenges, which is why I started boxing to cope with the stress and pressure. I actually just wanted to box here and there, but now I've found myself fighting my second fight at the end of the year 🥊

I developed the go-to-market strategy for Codeherent (a UK tech startup) and their Infrastructure as Code management platform. 

Interrogating the technical value proposition with commercial viability - I worked closely with Codeherent's founding team - I designed and executed the international new-user acquisition strategy. 

I mapped buyer personas to plot the commercial strategy for their SaaS product based on customer experience data. My experience of working closely with the full digital marketing mix meant that we were able to move from strategy to activation and continuous improvement rapidly.

YellowDog

Supporting YellowDog's commercial team and working alongside the product manager, I developed and delivered the external messaging for the YellowDog Platform: a workload management platform used in Financial Services, Media & Entertainment, Life Sciences and Aerospace. 

I also executed, and latterly oversaw, a full online and offline marketing mix. Extensive experience in the following marketing tactics and channels includes:

I was brought in to YellowDog to help take their first product to market - owning the end-to-end SME and enterprise customer sales cycle.  

Naturally, this role required significant primary market research to identify target customers which fuelled outbound telesales campaigns, product demonstrations, negotiations and account management. 

The first (and for a time only) member of YellowDog's sales team: we helped over 1300 studios in over 35 countries before I changed role to start the direct marketing function.

And when it comes to 'doing' rather than 'thinking', I join the dots between engineering and commercial teams with killer content, smart and scalable marketing tactics and impactful comms. 

I love the boundary between online and offline buying behaviour (the murky marketing matrix). It is in this unmeasurable abyss where 'deals' are made and naysayers are swayed. It is where I like to spend most of my time. 

If I'm kicking around between 10pm and 2am, I also build wonderful little Wordpress websites for founders, startups, and funky brands.    

Side passions include whiskey and singing songs with my six string.
