Project Management – Supported the development and implementation of a new avionics system in an aircraft for the Department of State. Required training and a full understanding of the systems function and the governing documentation including Engineering, FAA and Quality procedures as defined below:
Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s) – Interfaced with senior engineering personnel to determine corrections needed during the development and build process for the aircraft program. Required an understanding and interpretation of engineering documentation and the functionality of the systems involved.
First Article Inspections (FAI) – During the development process there are a number of new components introduced that required by the FAA to undergo a level of inspection that validates the new build process and function of that component. Requires knowledge of Operation Sheets and an understanding of the Quality system.
Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) – Performed first time test procedures to ensure the proper function at the system and component level. Also validated the procedure prior to performing the full avionics ATP on a production aircraft.
Drawing Comprehension – Full knowledge of dimensional practices and tolerances. Including component and assembly views, also parts and application lists.
Avionics Practices – Trained in the carful and important FAA regulated techniques required for avionic systems. Preformed panel and harness assembly following detailed operation sheets employing certified training in soldering, harness routing and clearance requirements as defined by Engineering and Quality.
Inventory Managmant - This position includes expanded responsibilities to implement inventory practices and manage incoming and outgoing inventory. All inventory processes are governed by FAA regulations for proper and safe aircraft operations
