Taking inspiration from my grandfather, who built residential homes, I started investing in property in my early 20s, generating wealth through six investment properties I purchased over five years. After a few years of carefully buying and selling homes, my wife and I were able to sell three investment properties from our portfolio to purchase our family home. 

As an experienced property investor, I know how to diversify portfolios. I have purchased property both local to me and interstate. Taking the time to analyse the yields and growth trajectory of homes ahead of making an offer, I held homes in Sydney, Dubbo, Queensland and Tasmania. 

Today, my specialism is finding homes for others in southeast Victoria. There is where I grew up, and it’s where I am raising a family. My knowledge of the suburbs, streets, and lifestyles on offer makes me the best buyers agent to engage in unearthing the property gems across Bayside, Kingston and the Mornington Peninsula.

As a buyers agent, I love helping clients refine their strategy and get into a position to move quickly when the right property comes along. I need to understand the client’s budget and price ceiling, and I always advise people to be finance ready (pre-approved for a loan) before making an offer. 

It’s essential for my clients to feel part of the journey, but ultimately, I know my skills and knowledge guide and educate them about an area they often lack expertise in and give them the confidence to move forward with a property purchase.

Hi, I’m Kristi. I'm a Certified Financial Planner® and the co-founder of Breakwater Financial Planning, a boutique financial planning firm based in Melbourne.

I grew up in Perth in a large and close family (I’m the third of six children), my sisters have built careers as teachers and/or counsellors. Having a strong desire to help better people’s lives I undertook a Bachelor of Social Science.

After completing my Bachelor degree in 2001 I moved to Melbourne. Here, I started my career in the Financial Services Industry working in a boutique accounting firm and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Accounting.

In 2005 I shifted to a professional Financial Planning practice where I experienced first-hand the positive impact that quality financial planning can make to peoples’ lives. During this period I completed financial planning qualifications including Diploma in Financial Planning and Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (I also started a family). 

In 2017 I was promoted to Financial Adviser and undertook the Certified Financial Planning program. As a Financial Adviser I get great satisfaction from helping people put a plan in place, empowering them to do the things they want in life and to be able to look forward to a secure financial future.
