Mats Uddenfeldt

My relentless drive to improve was forged on the wrestling mat as a high school freshman, where I went from finishing last in the county tournament to ultimately earning the title of Outstanding Wrestler. That journey, from last place to first taught me that setbacks are not the end, but the beginning of growth. I call this approach the “RGmodel”: turning challenges into learning opportunities, setting ambitious goals, and always striving for better. This mindset carried into my first technical projects at Eastman Kodak, where I built a working controller from discarded circuit boards on my Radio Shack computer when my father asked for help automating his modular die system.

The RGmodel has guided my academic and professional path. At RIT, I tackled a demanding Electrical Engineering curriculum, and in my career, I’ve applied this same tenacity to architecting advanced Cisco solutions, leading cross-functional teams at NetApp and Couchbase, and driving cloud, AI, and data innovation. I’m recognized for delivering robust technology solutions, building trusted client relationships, and translating technical complexity into business value.
