I walked away from a $500k ARR agency.

Soulless. Fluffy. Polished af. Just average bollocks automatically typed by a brainwashed human.

The weirdest part is they hold it as a badge of honor. I post daily too - it takes a few minutes.

“It’s all about speed”

Speed is great. But writing stuff in 2 mins that annihilates your brand and potential client roster, and dumbing humanity isn’t. I can’t believe I’m saying this but… being your authentic self is actually a modern day strategy.

I get it, “you’re not a copywriter”.

But have you considered writing or documenting your raw, true experience?

Literally summarize what you did yesterday.

Sure, I use AI daily too. 

But I don’t outsource my entire job to it and sit and moan about why I can’t get clients.

Like it or not…

The future will separate humans from garbage.

STOP telling people how they’re supposed to post on LinkedIn.

“Don’t like your own posts.”
“Don’t use emojis.”
“Don’t add line breaks.”
“Don’t use dashes.”

BRUH… who appointed you CEO @ Punctuation Limited?

We’re all literally specks of dust on a floating rock, slowly aging and trying our best not to lose our minds before Friday.

— Use the emoji.
— Break the line. (AMAGAD I used em dash)
— Like your own damn post if you feel like it.

You’re not getting a Grammy award for a LinkedIn update, lol.

And the algorithm isn’t sending you to fight Voldemort because you used a dash ffs.

No one’s diagnosing you with severe narcissism because you liked your own post either.

Some people on here act like LinkedIn “etiquette” is a moral code.

Hate to bring it to you, but no one (literally no one) gives a duck.

Why are we shaming people over… punctuation?
Of all things? 😂

Focus on being real.
Focus on being useful.
Focus on leaving people better than you found them.

— Call your mum & dad.
— Send your friends memes.
— Kiss & hug your partner.
— Give your cats & dogs a hug (tell them Uncle Jacob said they’re adorbz — I have treats).

When you’re old and wrinkly looking back on your life, I promise you won’t think:

“Damn… remember when Karen liked her own post about UX design?”

So yeah… 

Open the door.
Go outside.
Eat some watermelon.

Inhaaaaale. It’s all gonna be okay.

There’s a version of you you haven’t met yet.

And s/he’s waiting on the other side of honesty.

Most people don’t heal.

They just outrun themselves.

New goals.
New habits.
New identities.

Same wounds.

And then they wonder why life feels heavy.

Truthfully, I avoided this for years:

You can’t create a life you love while carrying a version of yourself you’ve outgrown.

At some point, you have to stop escaping and start listening.

To your anger.
To your fear.
To your exhaustion.

To the quiet voice that says,

“This isn’t who you are anymore.”

That’s when everything changes.

Not when you grind harder.
Not when you read another book.
Not when you chase another LinkedIn post.

But when you finally look yourself in the eyes and decide to stop abandoning the person you’re meant to become.

You’re not weak.
You’re shedding.
You’re not lost.

You’re remembering.
You’re not behind.
You’re awakening.

Brother. Sister. 
I f*cking see you.
I’m rooting for you.

Keep going.

Remember:

The next version of you is built in silence before it’s lived out loud.

You know those 6&7 figure entrepreneurs we look up to?

I’ve had a couple of them in my DMs,

And what I hear is:

- The stress they undergo
- The complexity in their business 
- The team management overwhelm 
- Their schedule that’s taken over 
- The immense pressure they’re experiencing 

I’ve heard some say.

The business has outgrown who they are.

And one bad month means everything falls apart.

That would result in:

- Firing their favorite team members 
- Having to take out loans 
- Starting the month from zero 

The hustle is commendable.

Though the $$ screenshots are sexy.

That’s the surface. Because behind it all it’s not all fine and dandy.

The truth coming out is “scale” is something they don’t want.

And it takes courage to burn things to the ground.

To see and accept another path.

A path that’s aligned to the business they want to design.

Not a business that’s built by default.

Lesson?

The roses on the outside look good.

But look within to identify the truth.

In a world where we idolize and pedestal.

Know that we’re all figuring things out.

Take what feels aligned & model it.

Drop what doesn’t and move on.

Because you deserve to build a business.

A business on your terms.

That allows you to have fun.

Be at ease & flow.

But most of all — to live.

Stop creating content.

(This strategy attracts ideal clients).

How I collect don’t create content:

1. Use your calendar as an ideation machine:

- What did you do yesterday?
- What problem did your client have?
- What did you do to solve it?

2. Write out the process and demonstrate 

- Think of it as a short list.
- With a brief description of each point.

3. Give your perspective 

- Showing what you did and giving insight
- Shows you know how to solve the problem.

You post. You get likes. Comments. DMs. Maybe even a few leads.

It feels like you finally cracked it.

Then week 3 hits and… nothing.

Engagement drops. No messages. No new subs.

This is the organic fatigue problem most run into.

I’ll break down my refresh system I use to keep my content from drying up.

👉 The set & forget trap.

You post a few winners. Things go well. You lean into those formats.

You repeat them…

But your audience starts tuning you out.

What worked 2 weeks ago suddenly flops. Why?

Your content’s gone stale.

👉The 2 lane content refresh system 

1. Light Refresh: Weekly

For formats that still work, but are starting to dip.

You don’t reinvent the wheel. Just keep it fresh.

Try this:

• Change the POV (e.g. “client story” → “my mistake”)
• Swap the hook but keep the core message
• Add different visuals (screenshot, selfie)
• Turn a text post into a carousel
• Reverse the order (CTA first, insight second)

It’s the same idea - just dressed differently.

2. Full Refresh: Monthly 

When your whole vibe needs a reset.

You need new angles & post types.

• Introduce a new story series (e.g. “This broke my funnel”)

• Add a new recurring content pillar (e.g. breakdowns)

• Change the CTA format (e.g. from “comment X” to “join the list”)

• Launch a new lead magnet

👉What I’m testing now

Mixing formats + vibes inside the same weekly content rhythm.

Before, I was keeping everything segmented:

• Mondays: Promo
• Tuesdays: Breakdown
• Wednesdays: Breakdown
• Thursdays: Breakdown
• Fridays: Story
• Saturday: Personal
• Sunday: Breakdown

Now, I’m running a combo format loop:

• Story-driven + soft pitch
• Screenshot + insight
• Carousel + CTA
• BTS email → turned into post

It’s messier. Less “planned.” But way more human.

The big “click” for me was realizing most creators default to “teach and tell.”  

But the posts that convert best for me:

Show posts.

Not “here’s how to grow.”

But:

“Here’s what I did last week to fix this.”

That shift alone refreshes your content & makes it sell.

Post 1 → Launch something valuable

Post a story that opens curiosity & earns attention.

Post 2 → Test new variation

Change angle, CTA, or format. Light refresh.

Post 3  → Drop something direct

Remind people what you do. Share a result. Invite them.

Monthly → Run a full refresh

Rebuild your content stack. Add a new offer. Change the angle.

The magic to organic growth isn’t what you hear everyone say:

“just keep posting” - that’s garbage.

It’s learning when to evolve the content before your audience gets bored.

Refresh. Rotate. Remix.

Bottom line…

If your content is slowing down…
It might just be time to refresh.

- Light refresh every 7 days
- Full refresh every 30
- Test mixing formats for higher attention
- Rotate show posts to re-earn trust & convert

Last year, “experts”” told me I was crazy.

Because I had a $100 power hour sitting in my featured section on LinkedIn.

(I still do for $250 only 3x a week - because of the demand and have been booked for two years straight)

No sales calls. No made up scarcity. No crazy strategy.

Honestly it’s a link that says: “Pay here. Let’s talk.”

People said:

“You’re underselling.”
“This is too valuable.”
“Where’s your leverage?”

(My coach at the time even told me to take it off because I wasn’t thinking “high ticket enough”. I heavily disagreed)

But they misunderstood what the call was.

It wasn’t a glorified brainstorm session where I tried to fix everything in 60 minutes.

It was the funnel.

Here’s what actually happened:

• The client books
• We build a custom Gameplan
• They leave with clarity, momentum, and the next step

And ~25% of them?

They upgraded into 1:1 or group offers — without me needing to “pitch” anything.

Why?

Because I didn’t talk about what I could do.
I showed them.

They paid to experience it.
And that shifted the whole dynamic.
I didn’t chase. I consulted.
And the offer sold itself.

Let’s do the math:

→ ~125 people bought
→ $12,500 front-end
→ 25% converted into $1K–$5K offers
→ That’s how a $100 consult turned into a multiple 6-figure backend

(Approx. $350k in year 1)

All without a funnel.
All without being “on” 24/7.

If you’re overthinking it…

You might just need a LinkedIn profile and a Calendly link connected to Stripe.

Proof of expertise beats promises of value.

A lot of “experts” online sound like they’re yelling from a stage.

Not because they’re confident - but because they’re scared.

Scared you won’t take them seriously unless they dominate the mic.

Scared to admit they’re still figuring it out too.

But the minute you raise your voice, you raise the barrier.

People don’t feel safer - they feel smaller. And when they feel small, they won’t buy.

They’ll clap. Nod. Praise your confidence.

But they won’t pay for your help.

Buyers aren’t looking for so called ‘gurus’ anymore. They’re looking for guides.

Not someone who “made it” and left. Or looks at you from above. But someone who gets it and stayed.

Someone who makes them feel seen, not corrected.

Ever feel that?

This month, I made one tiny switch that 1.5x’d my opt-ins (235 leads came through).

I used to write posts the way most people do:

Hook.
Body copy.
PS: “Grab X thingy here.”

Standard. Polite. Predictable.

But this time, I switched it a bit.

I started adding my CTA right up top.
Wove it into the the story, like a savage.
No waiting till the bottom to do a “PS.”

And boom - 1.5x more people clicked.

I believe that happened...
Because readers act when relevance meets timing.
And the best time to offer help… is while they’re still hooked.

So what I'd do is:

1. Start with the incident or insight.
2. Drop the CTA early - as part of the body not the bottom bit.
3. Make it feel natural, not needy.
4. Then expand the post as usual.

I used to tuck my CTA at the end.
Now it lives in the middle of the moment.

'Cos... well, it feels kewl, and it's converting.

It’s not always what you offer.
Sometimes it’s just when you offer it.

PS. LinkedIn doesn’t care about links IN the text anymore; my account actually grew by 27% which is nuts. 

But hey, I’m not your local growth ninja so I’m just saying what’s worked for me - we’re so lucky.

Most people aren’t addicted to hustle.

They’re addicted to the identity they built through it.

For years, I thought feeling icky pressure meant I was progressing, and I held it as a status symbol of sorts (yeah, ridiculous)

If I wasn’t “on” 24/7, I’d get anxious.

If I had white space on my calendar, I’d fill it with something to prove I was useful.

But eventually you realize:

You can’t build a peaceful business while operating from a dysregulated nervous system.

Success created through pressure isn’t safe to the body.

So you sabotage. Or stall. Or start over - again.

I’m in a season right now where I believe…

The work isn’t to scale faster.
It’s to feel safe doing less.

Because when peace becomes your baseline…
Everything flows faster.

Mid 5 figures. From what I thought was a failed launch.

I wanted to do a sprint for a cohort. Fill 5 spots. I ended up getting over 47 replies. And selling out the spots by the last day. But what was startling was — people wanted higher ticket stuff. 1:1 mentorship. So I sold more than I ever have. But that’s not what shook me most. I reflected tons.

It was one of those weeks that turns you upside down in the best way - not from breakdown, but from breakthrough.

New clients came through. They do wild numbers.

$200K/mo. $360K/mo. $150K/mo. And when I read their onboarding forms… I had to pause.

Because they didn’t say they hired me for strategy.

Or systems.

Or even funnels.

They said:

“Your vibe.”

And I’ll be real with you —

That confused me for a second.

My brain whispered:

“Why would someone at that level… pick you?”

I sat with it. Let it swirl. Because I’ve always told myself that they buy the offer. The outcome. The map.

But this week reminded me:

They also buy the mirror.

The energy.

The frequency.

The groundedness.

The truth in your posture.

The clarity in your being.

That’s the part no funnel can fake.

And when I asked myself today —

“What would shift if you fully believed you’re not behind, you’re just calibrated to lead a different way?”

I wrote down a line in my notebook I’ll carry forever:

“I don’t need to become more to belong here.
I just need to stay with what’s already true.”

Man.

That hit something ancient in me.

And I figured… maybe it would hit something in you too.

Literally: you are the one you’ve been looking for.

So I’m sharing it here.

Not for praise - but for perspective.

If you’re at a weird edge in your business…

Scaling but unsure. Seen but doubting.

Clients coming in - but identity catching up.

All I can say is…

Don’t perform more to “prove” you belong.

Just get closer to the truth of who you are.

That’s the most magnetic energy in the room.

And it’ll pull in people who feel it.

Even when they’re making more than you.

Even when the voice says “you’re not ready.”

They’re not just buying your model.

They’re buying your mirror.

I’ve had a thought I can’t get rid of lately:

Most people don’t have a marketing problem.
Or an offer problem.
Or even a strategy problem.

They know how to grow.
They’ve done the courses.
They’ve installed all the playbooks.
They’ve gotten crazy results.

But if you’re stuck, stalled, or just weirdly disconnected from your own momentum…

It’s probably not business.

It’s your nervous system.

Because this is what showed up for me:

If your business model overwhelms you, you won’t scale it.

If your sales rhythm drains you, you won’t sustain it.

If your content feels heavy, it’s because you’re not saying what you actually want to say.

And your body notices that long before your brain does.

You can’t outgrow a level your system believes will hurt you.

If “success” feels like pressure, your body will quietly protect you from it.

Delay the launch.

Rebuild the offer again.

Wait for the “perfect moment” that never arrives.

Tell yourself you need more clarity before you move.

It’s not sabotage.
It’s a form of regulation.

Your system keeping you “safe” in the exact place you’re trying to leave.

The work isn’t forcing your way through it.
It’s building a business your body can actually hold.

Something that expands you without frying you.

Something that feels spacious, not just scalable.

Something that’s aligned in practice, not just in theory.

So if you’re feeling resistance or fog right now…

Zoom out for a second.
Not to “fix.”
Simply… listen.

What part of this next level feels unsafe?

Because once you name it, you can meet it.
And when you meet it, things move again.

Last week, I did a $1,000 consulting session for $250.

I brought back my 1 hour, 1:1 Gameplan calls since life at home has streamlined itself after we had our baby daughter.

Because that’s a modality that’s aligned with me.

I always yap about demonstrating vs marketing & how powerful that is.

I recorded the hourly consult.

And I told the client upfront: this is a “documented” gameplan. That means 2 things:

• Created a $300 consult that sells itself — and upgrades 1 in 4 clients into the big offer

• Designed a tool she can use again and again to make $2k-ish an hour from consulting (without feeling strapped to her calendar)

The reason I did this is because most people talk about their offer.

I wanted to show mine.

My life was simple last quarter:

Mon - Tues - Thurs → work with clients 
Wed → be a full time dad 
Friday → write posts & emails, then dad mode
Saturday - Sunday → rest, run, music, family

I’ve loved being more present at home this season.

I simply enjoy the little things.

When I used to do 10 things at once, I’d end up doing nothing as my attention was scattered.

And that’s a no bueno.

Now I’ve built leverage and get to live by design.

THESE are the weeks I aim to have more of.

I don’t need a stacked calendar to feel important, to feel busy & productive while pushing my family, health and hobbies out the window.

Are you living simply or making it hard?

Most people aren’t drowning in work.

They’re drowning in all the versions of themselves they refuse to let die.

You feel this, even if you don’t admit it.

I’m gonna be honest af for a minute here.

The parts of you that were built to survive…
still try to run a business you’re meant to thrive in.

- The people-pleaser who said yes to every request.
- The overachiever who tied self-worth to output.
- The hustler confusing exhaustion with progress.
- The person building a power brand while shaking internally.

These ghosts still live inside your calendar.
They whisper when you price your offers.
They hover over your keyboard when you write.

They tighten your chest when you even think about being honest in your content.

And the bit that hit me the hardest last year:

I wasn’t afraid of posting.

I was afraid of posting as the version of me I’ve never allowed to exist. The one with edges. The one with boundaries. The one with opinions that might piss off the wrong people. The one who doesn’t need the market’s permission to breathe.

Business gets heavy when you force the past version of you to carry the future you’re supposed to step into.

That weight you feel isn’t workload…
it’s your TRUE identity that you mute to fit in.

And fit into what? LinkedIn influencer land? 

I’m going to say it as it is bc I’m fired up. (Thanks to my Modern Makers and yesterday’s workshop which was absolute fire)

And until you let those old selves burn,
your strategy will never feel aligned.

Your content will never feel true.
Your momentum will always feel forced.

Your next level isn’t about scaling.
It’s about shedding.

Shedding the parts of you that were useful when you were surviving…but lethal now that you’re trying to build a life you actually want.

The question isn’t:

“What should I do next?”

It’s:

“Which version of me needs to stop leading?”

Because once you answer that,
business stops feeling like a battle.

And starts feeling like home.

I used to think scaling meant doing more.

Turns out, doing less is what moved me forward.

(I must admit, I’m a recovering hustle bro)

Anws…Here’s what I mean:

For months, I kept trying to “fix” my business by adding things.

A new offer.
A new funnel.
A new schedule.
A new posting cadence.

Every time something felt off, my brain went straight to:

“What else should I add?”

But the more I added, the heavier everything felt.

I kept hitting $30k-$50k+ months but it never felt stable.

Or calm.
Or predictable.

At some point, I realised the problem wasn’t strategy.

It was my nervous system saying:

“This is too much.”

So I did the thing that felt counterintuitive.

I removed almost everything:

• One offer
• One email
• One post 
• One simple system that runs when I don’t

My income went up.
My workload went down.
And the business finally felt… safe.

What worked wasn’t more hustle.
Or more effort.
Or more moving parts.

It was building something my body could hold,
not something I constantly had to fight.

If you’re plateaued (is this how you spell it, lol) right now, it might not be because you’re “missing the next step.”

It might be because
you’re carrying too many steps already.

Sometimes the breakthrough isn’t adding more.
It’s building less - but better.

That’s what worked for me.

I don’t know why this little soul picked me to be her dad…

but I’m starting to understand what she came here to do.

She came to wake me up.

To slow me down.

To show me what love feels like when it’s quiet,
and what strength looks like when it’s soft.

I used to think “legacy” was something I had to build.

But now I see it sleeps in the next room,
wearing watermelon pyjamas and drooling on my shoulder.

May she always take up space without apology
and trust her voice, even if it shakes.

May she stay wild, stay weird, and never forget that she came here to move things.

(She loves being barefoot, which I do too 😬)

Her presence teaches me how to be present.

She reminds me that peace matters more than this whole “LinkedIn” thing or work thing.

And when I feel myself drifting into old patterns,
she brings me back to now…to breath, to stillness, to love without earning it.

Little Miss N is 9 months old now.

And somehow, without saying a word,
she’s made me a better man.

*gratitude sigh*

Now, I look to you today. 

Thanks for being part of this wild journey.

I’m still learning how to do this fatherhood thing, still unlearning, and still hoping that she never stops dancing through this world like it was made just for her.

And while doing that…

my mission is to be her (and your) — biggest fan.
