As the Founder and Managing Partner of Lane VC, a venture capital firm focused on transportation and mobility, I leverage my MBA and over 15 years of experience in sales, finance, and general management to identify, evaluate, and support promising startups in this sector. With a passion for innovation and sustainability, I have led or co-led investments in Xos, Einride, Vanderhall, Serial 1, Vaionic, Mitra Chem, and other companies that are transforming the way people and goods move.

My core competencies include new business development, process improvement, strategy, negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, procurement, asset management, and expense reduction. I have a proven track record of delivering rapid and sustainable growth for both my portfolio companies and my previous employers.

Einride is going public at a conservative $1.8B valuation. “The company, which maintains a U.S. headquarters in Austin, Texas, [global headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden] reported a contracted annual recurring revenue base of $65 million and over $800 million in potential long-term ARR.” 

I will personally add some insight that the $800M of potential ARR has intent and signatures tied to it.  Einride is taking a conservative approach to the public markets…as they should. 

This is a big milestone for Einride and a huge milestone for Lane VC. Lane VC co-led the Einride Series B funding round which was the second investment in the mobility space made four years ago. The first investment made was Xos Trucks that went public in late 2021 after Lane VC led the Series A two years prior to their IPO.  This gives Lane VC an investment track record of two successful outcomes out of their first two investments (successful outcome defined by a study from Stanford Professor Ilya Strebulaev on Venture Capital firms).  I love your Venture Mindset book Professor.  

Lane VC may be a small firm however taking two companies public from their first two investments gives them a 100% track record of success so far. It isn’t realistic to think it will sustain however it is a great start.

Last week at SEMA was fantastic!! We had three Brawleys (electric UTV) there and saw some incredible builds.  It is inspiring to see what people can do with a little imagination and determination.
