I have built my life’s work around creating those moments.  As a Leadership & Strategy Coach, I help organizations strengthen their teams and elevate their culture through practical, purpose-driven training in Customer Service, Leadership, Personal Branding, and Strategic Growth. 

My approach blends clarity, accountability, and emotional intelligence to create real shifts that impact morale, performance, and the way people show up for one another.

I have been privileged to serve many of the leading organizations in The Bahamas, including Central Bank of The Bahamas, Baha Mar, Deltec Bank & Trust, BAF Financial, Going Places Travel, Bahamas Development Bank, Bahamas Welding & Fire, Comfort Suites, Nassau Airport Development Company, Baker’s Bay, and others who value investing in their people.

Yet, the work that sits closest to my heart is the work I do with women.

My books, retreats, teachings, and online platforms serve women who have carried more than they admit, survived seasons they haven’t fully spoken about, and are ready to breathe again. 

I walk with women who are exhausted from being strong, who have lost parts of themselves while serving everyone else, and who long to rebuild with clarity, softness, and purpose.

I am the founder of the Thrive Retreat and the Restore HER Retreat, luxury, restorative experiences created for women who need time, space, and support to reset their lives. 

These retreats offer rest, reflection, and realignment.

I also lead the Thriving Together Community and host gatherings such as Coffee &  Conversations, where women are invited into safe spaces to grow, share, and heal at their own pace.

My story is woven into my work. I have been the woman on the bathroom floor at 26 overwhelmed, heartbroken, and unsure of what to do next. 

Today, I am honored to walk beside women and teams as they rise, rebuild, and step boldly into the next season of their lives.

Your team is not resisting you.

They are resisting who you pretend to be.

You walk into the room and you feel it.

The shift in energy. The way they look at you but do not really see you. The polite distance.

You thought becoming a supervisor would give you influence. But instead, it gave you a title and a team that does not quite trust you yet.

So you try harder.

> You speak with more authority. 
> You make decisions quickly to look confident. 
> You avoid admitting when you do not know something because you think it will make you look weak.

But here is what is actually happening.

Your team sees through it.

They do not need you to be perfect. They need you to be real.

Stop performing leadership. Start practicing it.


This week, do this:


Step 1: Admit one thing you do not have figured out yet. Say it out loud to your team. "I am still working through the best way to handle this."

Step 2: Ask for their input. "What do you think would work best here?"

When you drop the act and lead from who you actually are, influence stops feeling forced. It becomes natural.

You promoted someone from your team.

Now they are your peer. And it feels awkward.

Here is the truth:

Transitioning from peer to supervisor is uncomfortable. For you. And for them.

You did not just get a new role. You stepped into a new dynamic. And that shift requires boundaries, not distance.

This week, do this:

Have the conversation. Say: I know this is different now. I want us to stay connected, but I also want to be clear about what has changed.

Acknowledge the shift. Do not ignore it.

When you name the awkwardness, you take the tension out of it.

You cannot choose between your team and your responsibility.


Your team is burned out.
You can see it. 

The way they respond slower. 
The way their energy has dropped. 
The way they show up but they are not really there anymore.

And you want to help. 

You want to tell them to rest. To take a break. To slow down.

But your boss is asking for more.

More output. Faster results. Higher targets.

So you are stuck in the middle.

You know your team cannot keep this pace. But you also know what will happen if you do not deliver.

Here is what nobody tells you about this position:

You cannot choose between your team and your responsibility. You have to do both.

But doing both does not mean pushing your team until they break.

It means being honest. With your team. And with your boss.


This week, do this:

 Talk to your team. Ask them: What do you need from me right now? Listen without fixing it immediately.

 Talk to your boss. Say: Here is what my team can realistically deliver. Here is what pushing harder will cost us.

You are not protecting your team by staying silent. You are protecting them by speaking up.
