I have been on 5 flights in the last 5 days. 

One distinct thing that I noticed is that 90% of people on planes just watch show after show or play video games. 

I saw a few ebook readers and just a few physical books. Also these were 4+ hour flights. 

You have to be disciplined or you will just keep scrolling and watching and playing.

There is a time and place and maybe this was exactly that time and place… It is a great reminder that you have to dictate your time or it will dictate you!

This is my favorite flight of them all. Happy Birthday ❤️

Surround yourself with good people 

I met Jon Youshaei at VidSummit one year when he worked for Instagram. He wanted to start interviewing creators for a new YouTube channel he was creating. He asked if I would ask Peter McKinnon if he would do an interview. That video did well and he is now full time making content with creators.

By all standards he was late to the game and wouldn’t be able to catch up. You are not late! You are one interview or product release or meeting away from what you want. Keep asking and pushing and you will get there!

Marketing 101: Be Seen 

Me and my boys went to a Jazz game and they really wanted to get on the Jumbotron. So we found where the cameramen were and focused on them at every break. We found they most showed people waving their arms. So we started waving our arms!

Of course I had to film it to show Mom but what happened next was amazing. Just after we made it on the Jumbotron all our phones started bowing up. Their friends, my friends, people knew we were there.

We might have seen them getting food or randomly walking around but we were for sure seen when we were on the biggest screen in the building.

Find a way to get on the Jumbotron of the arena you are in!!

It takes an unreal amount of communication and just time to see results.

Get after it in 2026!
