Main achievements:
•  reset the Talent Strategy, achieving great results in the Engagement Survey (+7 bps)
•  led the DEI Agenda, increasing the rate to +50% of Women in Leadership Positions
•  led the transformation of Finance Controllership in LATAM, bringing an efficiency of USD 3.5 millions
•  deployed 5 significant ERPs, completely changing the Tech Status of the region

LATAM Regional Controller, Accounting & Finance, Vice President

Hired to create the A&F Function in Brazil, supporting the 1st round of the Global Finance Controllership Transformation. Reporting to LATAM Controller VP, responsible to lead the 90 FTEs (4 Direct) to a journey to improve process in Accounting, Financial Risk Management (Counterparty & Derivative Risks) and “Operational” FP&A (MIDS). Also, responsible to create the Internal Controls Team.

Main achievements:
•  successful created the function, based on new a Mission and Vision, bringing standardization and cost reduction of USD 1.8 million
•  aligned people strategy to Cargill’s Principles, i.e., create powerful performance review with less subjectivity, salary review to address market review distortions, and create the Brazil Extended Leadership Team 
•  reviewed and improved the process to prepare Managerial Reports, bringing new Tech Tolls to increase accuracy level for Budget and Forecast reviews

Main achievements:
•   supported the spin off strategies, 1 Big Project (DuPont Performance Chemicals – Chemours, a new company of USD 6 billions)

Hired to lead the Technical Accounting Team, with the main responsibility to implementation of IFRS and support the monitoring process of Accounts Reconciliation. After 1 year, invited to create the LATAM Internal Controls Team, addressing risk assessment needs, building a winning team and diminishing the company’s exposure. Led the SOX Process, assessing and testing Key Controls Activities, DoA, SoD, Trainings Schedules, etc. Reporting to the Global Internal Controls Director.

Main achievements:
•   created the LATAM Internal Controls Team, that became a desire career destination for other talents in the Region
•   supported M&A and divestiture strategies, 2 Big Projects (Acquisition of Danisco, a deal of USD 6.3 billions; and the Divestiture of DuPont Performance Coatings – Axalta, a deal of USD 4.9 billions)
•   addressed Fraud and Ethical violation issues in Accounts Payable (USD 10 million) and Reconciliation Process (USD 500 millions)
