With over two decades of experience in web development, digital strategy, and agency leadership, I’m passionate about helping businesses thrive through thoughtful technology, smart design, and measurable marketing.

As the Founder and CEO of 3 Media Web, I’ve stepped back in to lead the agency through a pivotal chapter of growth and transformation — aligning Sales, Marketing, and Account Management, mentoring our leadership team, and renewing internal processes to improve delivery and outcomes.

One of my core initiatives is implementing AI to drive operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and future-proof the agency. I’m focused on ensuring that 3 Media Web becomes not just AI-aware, but AI-aligned — enhancing how we research, collaborate, execute, and deliver value to clients.

I originally founded 3 Media Web in 2001 and grew it into an award-winning digital agency serving mid-size to enterprise clients across industries. Our team has partnered with global brands like IBM, Extreme Networks, Rocket Software, and SOLIDWORKS to design and manage websites that drive traffic, generate leads, and deliver ROI.

I’ve always believed in being more than just a vendor — we’re the “un-agency,” working side-by-side with our clients in a shared sense of ownership and success.

Beyond the CEO title, I continue to embrace my role as Chief Helper — supporting the team, collaborating with partners, guiding strategy, and being 3 Media Web’s biggest cheerleader.

I’m a Google Certified professional, a web presence and SEO expert, and I’m energized by the opportunity to mentor others, share knowledge, and lead with purpose in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Headquartered near Boston, Massachusetts with clients around the world, HBG has a full-time staff team of 30 experienced research professionals as well as a network of global experts assisting our international research and analytics efforts.

We specialize in providing a la carte and retained prospect research and prospect management assistance and consulting as well as due diligence research and data insight services.

I’m the proud founder of The Helen Brown Group LLC, a full-service fundraising research consulting firm based near Boston, Massachusetts. In 2021 I founded DAFinitive®, a tool to help nonprofits find information about donor advised funds.

An involved leader and volunteer in the prospect research community, I'm a former board member of Apra (formerly the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement), and have served as an Apra volunteer as committee chair, task force member, and speaker for more than a decade. In 2017, I was honored to receive the Apra Distinguished Service Award.

Regionally, I was past president of NEDRA (the New England Development Research Association) and in 2006, I was proud to receive the NEDRA Ann Castle Award for service to the prospect research community.

Internationally I have served as a non-executive director for Factary Ltd, in Bristol, England and as Advisor on Fundraising to the North American Foundation for the University of Manchester. I'm a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts (RSA) and a frequent participant in Researchers in Fundraising conferences in London.

In 2013, I co-authored "Prospect Research for Fundraisers; the essential handbook" published by Wiley & Sons for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Development Series.
