I spent 4 hours crafting a "Masterclass" post 

Only to get 1 unqualified lead and bad reach.

Let’s look at the "failed" data from last week’s Strategic POV:

Impressions: 226 (My lowest of the month)

Engagements: 9 comments (Mostly my own replies)

ROI: Theoretically zero.

I could hide this. 

I could just post a screenshot of my "Life POV" post that hit 1000+ impressions and pretend I’m a genius.

But there’s more juice in the failure.

The "Strategic POV" was too dense. 

It was all "Value" with no "Hook." 

I gave them the whole meal before they even sat at the table. 

Meanwhile, my "Business POV" (text + video) 

Is hitting KPIs because it feels like a real-time update

Not a lecture.

The Pivot: 

I’m cutting my volume from 3 posts to 2 per week. 

I’m doubling down on what the market actually rewards

Raw updates and high-ROI transparency.

One of the most common questions I get is, 

"How do you get 40+ likes and 50 comments 

when you aren't a 'LinkedIn Influencer'?"

The answer is a Strategic Core Audience.  

The Playbook: 

I don’t wait for the algorithm to find me. 

I find it first. 

I’ve identified a group of creators 

Who share my ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) 

But offer different services.

I engage with their content consistently.

Their audience sees my "Social Capital Catalyst" tagline in the comments.

That audience then "migrates" to my profile.

The Result: 

Even in a "bad" week where I only posted once

I maintained a baseline of 20–30 likes. 

Why? 

Because I built a community before I asked for a click.

Strategic engagement is the only way to guarantee distribution without paying for ads in the early stages.

Don't just build an audience. 

Scale an ecosystem

We got the replies... but why aren't they booking?

That was the million-dollar question in my data audit this week.

We saw a massive jump in reply rates

From 26.16% to 31.57%. 

On paper, that’s a victory. 

But in reality, we hit a bottleneck

The Positive Reply Rate.

If you ask for a "marriage" 

(a 30-minute Zoom call) on the second date

You’re going to get ghosted. 

I realized our Message 2 was pushing for a meeting too early. 

We were climbing the Message Ladder too fast.

The Correction

We’re swapping the "Book a Call" CTA for a "Soft Close" using a VSL (Video Sales Letter).

Old Way: 
"Got 15 mins to chat?" (High friction)

New Way: 
"I put together a quick breakdown of how this works. 
Want me to send it over?" (Low friction)

The Lesson:
In outbound, you have to trade value for attention. 

If the "Positive Reply" isn't happening

It’s not the prospect; it’s the friction.
