When I started my job, my department was thrown together from three sub-divisions. Now we are a powerful team of 12.

Together we are transforming KAMAX globally towards CO2 neutrality.
Our tasks: Working closely with the ESG Office, calculating CO2 footprints, supporting sustainability projects worldwide.

As Head of Materials, I was responsible for materials-related issues along the entire value chain. From supplier audits in steelworks worldwide to internal material savings projects in the high six-figure range to complaints processing for customers around the globe.

Materials Engineering Center Saarland (MECS)

The MECS was founded in 2009 and I was on board from the very beginning, driving its development forward.
At the MECS, I was head of numerous industrial collaborations with well-known companies such as Robert Bosch GmbH, TE Connectivity and Wieland Werke AG. 
I was also the laboratory safety officer.

Today, the MECS is a leading service provider, especially in material characterisation and customised material technology transfer.

Project Manager

Saarland University

I worked in a variety of functions at FuWe. 
I took on management responsibility early on and became manager of the 15 student assistants. Later, I was appointed project manager (funding acquisition, project management, customer support) and finally took on responsibility as co-group leader 'Advanced Surfaces'. In this role, I also supervised dozens of theses by German and international students.

Finally, I was responsible for the budget of the chair with its approx. 50 employees and funded projects in the 7-digit range.
I also took on the role of competence field manager in the contact centre for knowledge and technology transfer at Saarland University. In this role, I was the technical contact for all materials-related enquiries from regional industry.

My name is Dr Kim Eric Trinh, the mindset engineer. I have had the special privilege of leading others for over 20 years.  I combine technical expertise with emotional intelligence to support CEOs and technical leaders on their journey to greater clarity, authenticity and success.
