Arundhati Roy wrote 4 hours a day for 4 years to finish  The God of Small Things. It made her a millionaire quickly. After 20 years people still talk about it, buy it.

I saw an ad of a lady who wrote 773 books in a day (must obviously be AI). No one have any Idea of at least one of her books.

AI can make you a pseudo-author, but without you writing from your experience, or from deep research (for non-fiction), or putting your soul (for fiction), there is no art; readers will know. They will drop it, they won’t like you.

ChatGPT can create Ghibli art better than a human drawing, but sitting in front of a live artist hits differently. You make memories.

AI can make anything, but it won’t create memories that art with soul can make.

PS: I use AI to save you from my bad grammar and typos.

And yes, it’s okay to use AI to write blogs, QnAs, etc., as long as you know how the hell you want your output to be and why you want the output the way it is.

Your expertise is how you make it work, and the depth of knowledge in that field is still an art.

There are 3 types of people who smile a lot in Starbucks or Thirdwave

1) Friends
2) People working on a new Idea, together
3) People who are still hiring people into Ponzi-like schemes

Just my observation (3rd type seems constant, and it's disappointing)

There is too much BS on Linkedin these days and I am staying back out of necessity to connect with relevant people.

With AI, everyone started to say

1) 30 hours saved
2) $500k in pipeline
3) I am working with 11 AI agents

Fine, good, but - 

1) 30 hours saved - But along with it, share the quality of work it did, screw ups, learnings too
2) $500k pipeline, but based on your industry standard, whats your TAT  from pipeline to paying customers, are you getting revenue?
3) 11 AI agents. Fine. So? I will hire an intern and ask them to create 100 agents. What does it prove?

If you are sharing something - either tell us the quality you bench mark or revenue. Only these two are signals. Rest all is noise. 

PS: The noise level of BS is feeling like bad AQI in one of the large cities we know.

At Alohaa we work with Voice bots and Voice Streams, and I keep getting curious, here is why - 

While the mass is adapting to AI on Text, Voice AI has its own challenges. 

In India, the accent starts changing in almost every district. This means that to train one language, you can't just train in one accent or dialect. 

There are multiple companies building good models that can understand multiple Indian languages, accents, and dialects. And it's amazing to see how good they are.

Pair it with Voice latency on Telecom lines (Which we are trying to solve with Voice Streams)
Pair it with the issue with getting numbers into spam(Which we are solving use few methods)
Pair the Telecom rules in India with different sectors. For examples in the Financial Sector, with TRAI rules with 1400(promotional) and 1600(Transactional) number series, which started to show lower pick up rates.

While the AI models are one big step for Indian languages, another challenge is the Infra + Regulations.

At Alohaa, we wrote a book on how to be compliant for the Fintech sector and gave those away for free at events we attended, consulted with a few NBFCs to migrate and avoid penalties, and see where we can help or collaborate.

At least in the Voice AI ecosystems, multiple companies have to work together and grow the Industry as collaborators, friends, and grow together rather than growing thought a Enterprise sales cycle.

We try our best to do this from Alohaa, and hopefully the circle grows

I self-published "The Serotonin Addict" book, and so far sold 225 books in less than two months (total 30 unique reviews on Amazon). 

I am looking for established publishers, 
so they can bring a better reach for the book than me.
I heard having references would help,
so checking here if anyone here can help me with a referral.

PS: I started sending direct emails already, but the usual response time is 6 weeks to 6 months.

AI is helping people to save time or make money only for those who know what they want from AI tools.

I know a person who works hard. I asked him if I could be of any help.

He keeps saying - I am looking for the best people to work for.
He has high standards.
A lot of people admire his work and follow him
He have high social status in many places
He feels like he is doing everything

And all this can be true.

But, it took me a while to realise (after so many conversations with that person) that he feels he is the best and given that he can do others' work, he will do better than them.

I have a feeling that one reason he keeps failing is that he wants perfection and looks at most people as unworthy, subconsciously. With someone of that mindset, I don't know how much one can go ahead.

For me, I made peace and moved on.

It's easy to avoid people who hate you,
but people who subtly put you down,
It's hard to detect. 

PS: He is a nice person in general, super helpful. But we are different people in different scenarios. It's the work scenario of that person I mentioned. Thankfully, I did not need to work with this person at any time.

People are complex, and it's best to box their behaviour to the scenarios and not demean them as a whole, as much as possible, so we all can co-exist more peacefully.

What will you add to the list?

In India, most of the adoption feels like it's coming from coders, like everywhere else, but in marketing, it feels like it still needs a lot of adoption. 

The reason, my guess is, is purchase parity. For a product that is $100 in the US, we see the same perceived value at $40. 

Images and videos using AI are not cheap. Even other AI tools in marketing don't feel cheap. 

Another reason could be that Marketing needs a lot of experimenting. With code, you can see the output. With marketing, it's still a guesswork. So it may feel safer to go with what's already working than try new tools (the results are visible after a few days or weeks sometimes).

For experimenting, at least for the small to medium startups, it feels like a lot because you end up spending a lot. 

If we compare people versus AI tools, AI feels much better, but got to see how much it will be a common practice soon. 

PS: Or maybe the adaptation is good, and I may not be seeing it well in immediate circles. What's your observation?

It’s a good read in your break, travel, weekend or breaking your weekdays pattern (while helping you set hard long term goals and making them doable)

AI is helping me do many things and it's scary, here is why -

Firstly, I see myself as a generalist in understanding, and having depth with marketing.

Secondly, with AI (using Claude code), I know I can build few things, but then, do not know if I can understand scale or depth.

I haven't focused enough on creating agents, but it will be inevitable not to create agents and get things done.

So anything with some understanding of agents(easy part) + strategy(hard part) can make agents do - Research, compose data, send emails to relevant people for research, build specific landing pages based on personas, make content for ads / seo  (or even run campaigns by themselves in the future)

While I can take this data, use whispr like tools, talk to my command line (or just input the data from research) and let the claude agents orchestrate things and build a product, while I read a book, make tea, or go out for a walk.

There is something called The Jonah Complex - It is the terrifying realisation that you are capable of far more than you are currently doing, which creates pressure to live up to that potential. 

It's that, now you know you can do so many things, and the pressure build up gets the best of you (while we try to catchup with AI, try to avoid burn out while making 20-30X decisions in short time, that we are used to).

If the potential to create anything is scary, I don't know what is.

We will only remain sane, only when we are clear of purpose and direction (at least on the SaaS side of things)

Or else, it's easy to be lost, pressured and even broken now living up to what we can do. And anything that makes us value less isn't worth it.

Things are changing top down (early adapters -> everyone else).

Time to embrace the change. Sooner the better.

PS: The above automation, even to make it, needs conviction, time and a mental framework how things needs to be done and what output you intended to get(hard part). Once we know, it's easy to get things done.

The hard part (direction and purpose) never changes.

1) Are you giving deep inputs to get deep outputs?

2) You are saving time with AI, what are you using your free time for?

3) If you are automating things, has it increased your revenue / month? Or it’s just saving time only?

You need to be clear on all these, or else AI being useful is just an illusion

Forming an identity and believing is the hardest 

I published a book if someone says I’m a writer, it will take me a moment to realise it is true

I ran for 12 hours covering 82.4km and yet on the day of the run, at the start like, I felt I did not belong there

With marketing sometimes it works in 3 days sometimes in 3 months, easy to have self doubt if I know things well

The voice of imposter syndrome for any creator or a good operator is usually high

Over the years I learnt to see it as a background noise. Nothing more, noting less

If you have imposter syndrome despite results, just know it’s normal

Jack Dorsey cut down 4000 employees out of 10,000, even when their company is already profitable.

He used terms like " intelligent tools - instead of saying it's due to AI

Do those 4000 people won't get jobs?
I think they will.

I feel that with all this AI wave, this is the first time for our generation where we need to adapt to new things, or at least be aware of what is happening.

There are three types of people who may thrive
1) People who create things with AI (Creators) - but still learn the old business strategies (eg, Right to win principles)

2) People who Adapt to AI (Operators) - meaning they know which tool to use when, efficiently

3) 80% of the people who are unaffected because they aren't in the technology in the first place (the whole world isn't on LinkedIn, remember? It's only a small portion)

Here is what I feel we should focus on going forward

1) Companies should spend money on their staff on new tools to try. If not, employees should and must spend their own money and learn to stay relevant

2) Creators have to see how their tool can differentiate for a large audiance, or cater to a specific niche, so winning and growing is sustainable

3) Be healthy mentally and physically, because AI gives you burnout, because it spins out the output in a few seconds, and we haven't been used to making a million judgment calls in a short time. We need our body and mind to be healthy

4) Friends - yes, the show with this name helps, but having real friends will make more sense for us in the world. AI Wave is fine, but sitting on that wave on a boat with friends makes it better.

5) Lone time with the brain - We need to keep away from gadgets so our brains get resting time, thinking time, and time to wander. Without this, we are less human. 
Currently, the best way be more human is to do nothing, literally.
When is the last time you rememeber day dreams? Or looking at the stars? Or heard a bird chirp? (What's wrong with us, have you thought?

The way forward is AI Adaptation + being more human.

Let's accept that, change our day and week schedules for this. We all will be in a better place, as we should be.

This Peter Thiel startup just went kaput. 
This is the fall of icon → AI startup that made ads 

Experts will tell you it's the $12M domain name (icon .com) or mismanagement of funds, but that's not the real reason. 

The real reason SaaS companies fail is by "failing to deliver on promises"

Their pitch was "produce 100 ads in 90 minutes. " 
LinkedIn AI bois called it the end of "design agencies" 

But guess what happened,
It never really delivered 100 ads in 90 minutes. 

It threw in errors, 
produced repeated ads, 
software was slow and clunky to use. 

Customers became frustrated because the unsubscribe button was hidden.

Their CEO then said, they're becoming a design agency and employees need to work all 7-days a week. 

What a sham. 

AI bois will say, AI is still catching up
Anti AI bois will say, AI won't replace humans 

and all I see is a product that didn't work, overpromised, heavily under-delivered along with a toxic CEO. 

Had to end.

Are you a LinkedIn ghostwriter or social media manager? 
I've got news for you. Both good and bad.

Let's rip the bandaid off first,

Bad news:
🛑 AI can do your writing job. 
It matches tone. 
It writes like a human. 
Feed it, and watch it follow the brand voice. 

You're not writing anymore. You're just instructing. 
You've gone from author to editor. From creator to prompt engineer.

If you got into this career for the love of writing,  
the craft, the flow, the blank page 

THIS WILL STING. 

I get it cos I got into this for the love of the craft ✨
I'm now facing a bit of an identity crisis 😢

Now, the good news (and this is where it gets interesting):
✅ The role hasn't died. It's leveled up.

Founders don't just want words on a screen anymore. 
They want a content partner,
someone who thinks about the full picture:

→ The LinkedIn post that stops the scroll
→ The lead magnet that converts readers into leads
→ The infographic that makes people save and share
→ The newsletter that's been repurposed from the LI post 

followed by the strategy that ties it all together🤌🏻

I've realised this is no longer a writing job.

This means:
❌ Writers who stay in their lane (words only) get replaced
Because founders feel they can write using Claude. 

But the ones who evolve? Who build the full-service offer?

They land retainers that actually reflect their value.
They become irreplaceable. 
They raise prices. 

The choice is simple:
Stay a writer → get commoditized.
Become a content partner → stay indispensable.

Builds a SaaS he doesn’t even love.

Grinds for months.
Chases PMF super hard. 
Celebrates his first $1,000 MRR.

And still… feels like a nobody.

Versus - 

He shrugs at the noise.
Keeps building what he actually enjoys.
Ships project #43.

No grand announcement.
No dramatic pivot.

And it explodes.
Mega-viral.
Game-changing Open Claw is born. 

Not because he timed the trend.
Because he stayed in the game.

Now zoom out.

What if you didn’t quit the thing you’re quietly good at?
What if you ignored the hot takes?
What if you just kept stacking reps?

Daily.
Weekly.
For years.

Where would you be?

Most people don’t fail.
They just stop at project #42

I'm usually the first guy to get fired from a company. 
And Jack just fired 4000 humans like me. Here's how I look at this:

First, this news hits really hard for me. 
Imagine replacing 4000 of your workforce with AI? 

We can't hide behind anymore - AI is replacing jobs. :-(

I have 5 things I want you to do: 

1) You need to become indispensable.
You're a social media strategist, but aren't designing or writing posts? 
LEARN TO DO IT. 

You're an SEO guy who hates to do backlinking/Reddit?
LEARN TO DO IT.

You're a social media manager, shy about coming on camera?
LEARN NOT TO BE SHY.

You call yourself a growth marketer?
LEARN FUNNELS, LEADGEN, LANDING PAGES, DATA CRUNCHING, etc. 

2) Stop productizing services (Go full-service) 
Anything that is productized is something AI can do. However, AI can't do the full service offering you'd offer. 

eg: We offer 15 DFY LI posts a month ❌
As many LI posts + outreach as it takes to get you leads. ✅

3) Learn AI tools 
We're at a point where AI expertise is no longer "good to have". It's mandatory now. It raises your value in the market. 

I just bought Adam Andrewjeski's OpenClaw course. 

4) Become a generalist
Generalists are going to thrive here as they're agile. They're jack of all trades, which makes them seamlessly flow like water into adjacent skills. 

5) Save money 
Jack is offering generous 5-month pay for people who got laid off. 
Your company won't. 

NO bad EMIs.
NO taking up home loans. 
 
Capitalism has come to a point where it's brutal. Jack's company's stock rose by 25% when he announced this.

The market is celebrating replacing humans. 

Disrupt yourself 
or get disrupted. 

You got a decision to make.

Cluely's CEO is a liar.
Here's exactly how he manipulated all of us, including VCs: 
 
First,
He lied about $7M ARR to raise $15M from a16z.

Next,
Spent all the money on memes, influencer marketing to create hype. 

And now, a year later, 
He posted about this on "X" that he had lied but unintentionally. 

This only tells me a few things:

→ VCs also fall for content hype and good vibes
→ LinkedIn bros will hype up any news that comes forward
→ Using paid ads for hype creation and memes > paid ads for revenue 

If you can create controversy + hype on social media, 
You can grow, even if you got less revenue. 

Cluely is just 1 such example. Imagine how many such startup founders are boasting their FAKE numbers on LinkedIn. 

Insane times, we're living in.

Ps - Don't sleep on LinkedIn. You can do this kind of hype for your own business (ethically ofc)

CEOs have gone mad. 

Some of them are asking for 10x from marketers...

"10x marketing output" bcs AI now exists. 

Let's realistically look at how a marketer can achieve that:
→ Make more AI slop posts
→ Publish more AI slop lead magnets

Is this what 10x marketing output looks like with AI?

Is there any real use case of AI apart from generating AI slop? 


you can't depend on it for therapy 
you can't make it do complex stuff

it just says yes to everything you say...

and lastly tries too hard to replace you. 

Billionaires running AI are winning
Common people are losing jobs

The people in between try to make money with AI wrappers, convincing you slop is good. 

This whole thing feels like one giant mess 

where almost, nobody 
is able to keep up with AI updates anymore.

Open Claw just gave me some super depressing news. 

I just used OpenClaw to calculate my net worth 10 years from now. 

This is the prompt you need to copy/paste: 

"Run a Monte Carlo simulation with 10,000 simulations to predict where I will be financially in 10 years."

It predicts me at 2.8 Cr, which is nowhere near $1M I aspire to.  

However, this number is pretty accurate because: 
→ I have listed down my expenses and my savings
→ Listed down current assets 

With inflation 6%, My 2.8Cr in 2035 is essentially worth 1.2Cr. :(

Which means,
I won't be able to afford an apartment in a tier-1 city anywhere in India. 

Is this how you do financial planning? 
I found it pretty depressing.

Do try it with any "pro" thinking model or OpenClaw if you got access and you just might unlock more insights. 

Am I happy with the figure?
Not at all.

The same Claude we use has been used to take over Iran, Venezuela and bomb people.
