At amo, we’re building consumer social products that live and die by latency, reliability and insane scale. We’re expecting a tidal wave of traffic, and we’re looking for people who get excited by that sentence, not scared!

We’re hiring:
 🛰 Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) (to work with Patrik Cyvoct)
 🦀 Backend Engineers (Rust): multiple roles (to work with Dmitri, Vinay, Josh, Raoul, Aymeric, Antoine, Anahit & Lucas) 

🚀 Lead SRE: Own reliability at absurd scale
As our Lead SRE, you’ll:
- Define & drive the long-term infrastructure vision and roadmap
- Design and operate large-scale distributed systems (multi-cluster ScyllaDB, high-throughput monitoring at 1M+ series/sec)
- Push Kubernetes to its limits (aggressive autoscaling, ~90% CPU utilisation without dropping quality)
- Automate everything: from dashboards to DB installs to cluster management
- Partner daily with Backend, iOS & Android engineers (and vendors like GCP, ScyllaDB, Redpanda)

🧱 Sr/Staff/Lead Backend Engineers (Rust): Build the backbone
On the Backend Rust side, you’ll:
- Build systems that handle massive traffic & data, scaling horizontally from day one
- Work on both server-side and a shared Rust core used by iOS & Android (networking, sync, data-oriented logic)
- Play with modern distributed systems (Redpanda/Kafka, ScyllaDB/Cassandra, etc.)
- Help design features, own your scope, monitor crashes, and ship fast
- Join early enough to shape architecture, culture and best practices

You don’t need 10 years of Rust, if you’re strong in a low-level language (Rust, Go, C++, C, OCaml…) and hungry to go deep, we want to talk.

Unpopular opinion: interview preparation is apparently optional now.

I keep meeting candidates who proudly show up to interviews having done absolutely zero research on the company or the product.

No website visit.
No app download.
No clue what we actually build.
Just pure, unfiltered improvisation.

Honestly… impressive.
The confidence it takes to walk into a 45-minute call with nothing, not even a glance at the homepage, is something I’ll never fully understand.

To be clear:
	•	We’re not asking for a PhD on the company.
	•	Just the revolutionary act of… spending 20–30 minutes preparing.
	•	You know, the basic stuff: “Who are these people? What do they do? Do I actually want this job?”

Because when you show up unprepared, all it really says is:
“My time matters. Yours… not so much.”

Wild strategy. Probably not the most effective.

So here’s a friendly reminder, in case the basics got lost somewhere:
If you’ve decided to interview somewhere, act like you meant to. 😉

amo Monday, 9:32 AM, Paris.
A designer walks over: “Could we make this flow AI-powered?”

By 10:10, the experiment is prototyped.
At 11:45, the TestFlight build is uploaded and processing.
By 14:05, it’s live in TestFlight and the team starts dogfooding.
At 16:20, dashboards show the first real user metrics.
By 19:12, the team decides: “Let’s ship this to 5%.”

At 19:13, someone asks:
“Wait… who built the internal tooling that let us do all this in one day?”

Answer:
The people we’re hiring now!
