Responsible for the IoT Software Group business unit, including the complete life-cycle solution frameworks across the product design, architecture, development, business operations, and developer ecosystem. This effort complemented the hardware business unit to provide industrial IoT solutions.

The IoT Software Group is building the next generation infrastructure to handle volume of data (a rate of tetration) generated from connected devices. The scale and security requirements to connect, manage, secure, and move data between devices at the edge of the network required a solution around the infrastructure, network, and data layers. 

Executive sponsor for a collection of IoT investments at the seed and strategic accounts round, including technical diligence for the Jasper acquisition.

Primary board member and treasurer for the Open Connectivity Foundation. This effort partnered with Intel, Microsoft, and Samsung to help drive patterns and practices for commercial and Industrial IoT interoperability.

Additional P&L responsibility around the Cisco Video Surveillance business unit. This established product portfolio includes a blended integration of hardware and software for commercial, educational, and industrial surveillance needs worldwide. Analytical and machine learning capabilities around diagnostic and prediction for most likely ingress/egress paths.

Co-founder for the Cisco Cognitive Compute solution around product, strategy, and business operations for a business platform that harnesses the power of cognitive computing with machine learning and numerical solvers to grow, enhance, and optimize business systems.

LinkExchange was rebranded bCentral and morphed into a large scale business portal. My responsibilities included front-end development, g12n, i18n, operations, UX, test, and cross O.S. porting.

Team-based solution provider for Product Development and Systems Engineering. Managed all software operations and support across three geographic development areas.

Created ground-up development teams to take over failing legacy systems and created self-running solutions to lowered operational COGs. This required the starting of automation and data-driven decision-making practices.
 
Implemented global version control/defect tracking system, and maintained communication pipelines between foreign development houses

My first non-student job, developing geometry components for a CAD solution using Turbo Pascal and eventually MFC 1.0

Eventually managed developer team for Windows-based application development. This led to commercial success and realized that my value was more around program management to help guarantee delivery, but also code as a secondary value-add. This QA need turned into the creation of an application uninstaller that coincided with the Windows 95 release.
