Good Innovation

Good Innovation works with charities and companies to create lasting relationships with their supporters. My role as an Innovation Consultant was to plan, manage and run innovation projects in collaboration with our clients. 

The projects consisted of coaching internal interdisciplinary teams in innovation (both with the methodology and the mindset). As well as researching, testing, designing and evaluating new services and products to disrupt their current product portfolios. The aim in all projects was to find the sweet spot between internal assets, the charity mission and market potential to make sure these organisations can keep funding their lifesaving work in the future.

As a Service Designer at Exove I worked in close collaboration with the clients, the developers and other designers in the team.

My role consisted of using and iterating on the best methods for designing and gathering insights from all stakeholders in order to create holistic services to fulfil people’s needs and carry out company strategy. In designing digital services I used a variety of design and research methods from interviews and workshops to prototyping and testing concepts to make sure that the UX and service promise for the customers can be fulfilled with a matching set of thoughtfully designed internal processes. 

To create change with digital tools, I start and end with the people who end up using them.

As a Creative Director I established and coordinated both long-term and shorter collaborations with e.g. Pure Waste Textiles, Unmonday, Karhu Originals, Costo, VestiMI Con Gusto, Sampo Marjomaa and Plaekä. My role included establishing and managing collaborations and the brand concept, marketing, sales and photography.

Our first podcast is live, and I feel so grateful to kick it off with this amazing conversation with Íñigo Cavestany Villegas. In this episode we talked how responsibility changes shape with AI, and what it means for builders. 👇


My main takeaway from the session was to not only ask ourselves “what can this technology do?” but “what are the risks, and how can we prevent harm?” 

Ìñigo offered a beautiful approach for reversing the usual planning process by starting it out with potential downsides to find the boundaries for ethical innovation.

It reminds me of the IKEA approach AKA designing from the limitations of space, price, and materials. 

With AI, the possibilities are almost limitless, so it’s even more important to consider all the ways our creations might be used (or misused). By doing this, we can build safer, more trustworthy solutions.

Ultimately, the value and impact of AI will depend on the intentions, ethics, and accountability of those who shape it. Now that anyone *can* build with AI, we need to consciously educate ourselves (and others) about the responsibilities that come with creation.
