For many years I have hosted and co-hosted networking events in Glasgow. From 29 Social at 29 Private Members Club in Glasgow, to Southsiders in Business (which I resurrected after an 18 month hiatus) and what became First Wednesday Networking. This is a free, monthly, morning event that caters to Scottish Business Owners and Professionals. First Wednesday Networking ran for a few years at the Village Hotel in Glasgow and now we are in Costa Coffee across the road at Bells Bridge (near the Premier Inn)

Well maybe my claim to fame was that I was the only presenter there at the beginning and there at the end? I was one of the launch team back in Sept 1992 when the station was at Lady Lane in Paisley. I presented shows there for two years and left to launch a magazine, wrote a book and then launched a website.

I returned 11 years later to Q96 for another two years until it ended in August 2006. It was one of the saddest jobs I ever left. I loved everyone I worked with and thoroughly enjoyed presenting shows six nights a week 10pm to midnight. The best slot. OH happy days.
