“But posting content every day is hard”

I ran a content challenge for my clients over the past few weeks.

Some messages I’ve had:

→ “This challenge has been awesome can’t lie”
→ “It was EXTREMELY easy to come up with it once I had the prompt”
→ “I’m on fire this evening and I’ve literally been writing for about 30 minutes”
→ It came naturally, it doesn’t feel forced or salesy at all - I like it”
→ Timeless Content is GOLD”
→ “It was really good, really simple to write because it was more about the mission”

And my fave ↓

“I've had at least 5 people tell me that my posts really resonated with them and instantly made them connect with me so it's gooood!!”

I didn’t do it because they needed help writing. All of them can write really well.

It was direction they needed.

There are 1,000s of content ideas out there. And your brain easily gets overwhelmed when you try to think of them all.

But limit your thinking to:

→ 9 Principles
→ A handful of angles for each
→ A structure to use each time

You get words on a page a lot quicker (and get buyers to see you). 

Remember: Resonance is the way forwards. Not reach.

Focus on resonating with the right people = your content will do its job well.

If you want to sign clients, stop trying to impress them when you talk to them. 

Do this: 

Every single person I meet online, I treat as if they’re an old friend.

Not a stranger.

Most people are scared to get into conversations. Because their gut is telling them:

→ “You need to impress them”
→ “You’ve got to sound/look your best”
→ “You have to deliver some great value here”

And yet all the other person wants is for you to show up and be someone they want to talk to.

Which 99 times out of 100 is just being yourself.

Which means this happens:

→ Their guard drops (because they don’t feel awkward)
→ The conversation flows more easily
→ If it aligns well, an offer feels natural

You get a better feel for working with them from the conversation.
They get a better feel of working with you by how you are.

If both align and it feels natural, the next step is obvious.

(And it’s WAY more fun to make friends than just try and sell all the time)

In 4 years, I’ve written 1,100+ posts for myself. 

…and helped 50+ clients to build their business here too.

So to help you, here’s every best lesson I’ve learned about writing online (so you can get clients too): 

1/ Attention first. Always. No one buys from posts they don’t read.

2/ A bad post with a good hook beats a good post with a bad hook.

3/ Forget vanity metrics as the goal. It’s a bonus. Revenue > reach.

4/ Going viral is a bonus. Conversions are the objective.

5/ Every post should move people somewhere → belief, action, inbox, email list.

6/ 90% of your posts should have a CTA. Direction = momentum.

7/ Sell yourself as much as your offer. People buy trust before they buy products.

8/ Call out your ICP directly. Specificity makes people feel seen.

9/ Clear beats clever. Every time. EVERY time. 

10/ Position yourself in your content so people think “I need to learn from them”.

11/ Playing it safe is risky. Strong opinions attract strong buyers.

12/ If someone can disagree with you, it means the right ones can agree. 

13/ Repeat your best ideas frequently. Most people didn’t see it the first time.

14/ Name your frameworks and ideas + talk about them. Familiarity builds authority.

15/ Trends get views. Depth builds trust.

16/ 3-4 good posts per week is more than enough to get clients.

17/ Don’t post for the sake of consistency. Post for some shift/outcome to happen.

18/ Move people from platforms you rent to platforms you own (like email).

19/ The human side of your content builds relationships (and sales).

20/ Build a world around your content so people want to learn more from you. 

21/ Don’t chase trends. Buyers care about clarity, not choreography.

22/ Your perspective is far more profitable than “perfection”.

23/ You don’t need permission to share your thinking. 

24/ You can’t build with 0 impressions. But 1,000,000 isn’t the minimum. 

And my favourite one: 

25/ Literally nobody on this planet expects you to write perfectly, or have everything figured out. Now more than ever. And that is the most magnetic, attractive thing for leads right now. A real person who’s sharing ideas and thoughts regardless of what “trends” say to do. Far better. 

I could go on. But my brain is tired. 

So a final question for you: 

If someone read the last 90 days of your content, would they know how you help? What you stand for? Who you are? Where to go next? 

That’s the whole point right there. 

Not the likes.

I’ve always hated being on video.

Yet I’m doing a lot more of them in 2026. Simple reason:

1/ I want more people to see me in action, not just how I write about it
2/ People are more skeptical about AI, and video can’t be faked
3/ Sometimes concepts need to be explained in deeper detail

What’s beautiful is right now, the more ‘raw’ the better.

No editing = no chance of “fake”.
No cuts = nothing being hidden.

Clients don’t get on a coaching call and expect you to present perfectly.

They expect stumbled words. Thinking pauses. Ums and ahs.

So I’m doing a lot more mini videos to show that side of the business too. Which means:

1/ The right clients get a feel for my coaching style before we meet
2/ People spend more time watching videos > reading a post
3/ I don’t have to worry about “perfection”, I just hit record

I won’t lie, it feels good to just create and put things out there for those who it helps.

But it's also a great way for business right now.

I review 10 to 15 profiles every single week.

And after sending thousands of messages (and helping my clients land 2–3 warm calls every week), here’s what I’ve learnt

✨ Your first impression doesn’t start with a pitch.
It starts with presence.


When you message someone on LinkedIn, 
They’re subconsciously scanning:

Do you sound human?

Are you relevant?

Do you bring value or just want something?

And all of that… in literally 6 seconds.

This is how to nail that window 👇


//- Lead with context, not curiosity.
Mention something specific about their post, company, or project. 
Show them this isn’t a copy-paste DM. (YESSSS even though it is)


//- Ditch the pitch.
You don’t ask someone to marry you on the first date
You talk, connect, and build trust.

Same rule here. 😎


//- Keep your tone chill, not corporate.
“I’d love to explore ways we could collaborate” sounds like a cold email.

“Hey, saw your post on [topic], really sharp take. 
Curious what made you try that?” builds curiosity.


//- Make your profile do half the talking.

If your message hooks them, your profile should close the deal.

Think of it like a handshake, 
Your DM gets attention, your profile earns the trust.


//- Follow up without being annoying.

A quick “Hey, looping this back up, thought you might’ve missed it!” 

Works way better than “Did you see my last message?”


That’s how my clients
Like the coach who went from 2 likes to 110+ minimum in under 3 weeks.
Or the founder who started getting inbound DMs instead of chasing them.

Someone asked me: "F*ck credibility, how do I just get leads?"


Then I checked their LinkedIn.

500 followers. Generic headline. Zero authority content.

And they're wondering why their DMs are empty.

Listen.

You can get leads without credibility.

They'll just be: 
→ The ones asking "what's your rate?" before "what's your process?" 
→ The ones who ghost after you send the proposal 
→ The ones comparing you to three cheaper options


That's not a lead to be real.
That's a time-waster with a calendar link.


Credibility doesn't just GET you leads.
It FILTERS them.

When someone's been watching you for 3 months before they DM...

They DON'T ask for discounts.
They DON'T question if you can do it.


They just ask: "When can we start?"
That's the difference between CHASING and ATTRACTING.


My last $15K client told me: 
"I already knew I was working with you before this call."
That's what credibility does.


It closes the deal before you even pitch.
So yeah, f*ck credibility if you want.


Just don't complain when you're stuck on sales calls explaining why you're worth it.


P.S.- If your close rate is under 50%, it's not your pitch. It's your credibility. Fix that first.

Your competitors are eating your lunch while you're following LinkedIn advice from people who've never closed a client.


And I mean that literally.

The same people telling you to post every single day.

Spam 10 hashtags, write longer captions, ask them one thing.
Show me the clients.


They can't. 
Because they don't have any.


I've worked with 45+ CEOs, founders, and coaches. 

The ones who actually make money on LinkedIn all figured out the same thing.

Posting more has NOTHING to do with earning more.


The founder who closed $40K in one month wasn't the one posting daily. 

She was the one who got so specific about who she was talking to that the right person couldn't scroll past.


The consultant generating 5 inbound leads a week isn't using hashtags. 

He's built a profile so sharp that decision-makers feel like he's already solved their problem before they even reach out.

Stop waiting to hit 10K followers before you start monetizing LinkedIn. 
That's NOT how this works.


One of my clients had 800 followers when we started.
Two months in, he closed $30K in deals.

And I'll tell you what he had that most people with 15K followers don't.

He knew exactly who he was talking to. 
Every single post was written for one person, the decision-maker who had his specific problem and the budget to fix it.

That's it.

I see founders grinding for followers like it's a race. 
Posting daily. 
Meanwhile, their inbox is empty.


LinkedIn is not Instagram. 
The number on your profile means nothing if the right people aren't in your corner.

800 followers who actually need what you do will always outperform a big audience that's just watching.


So the real question to ask yourself,
Are the people engaging with your content actually your clients? 
Or
Are they just other coaches, other founders, other people who will never pay you?


Because your bank account doesn't care about your follower count.
It never did.

Nobody told me entrepreneurship would be this hard.
They also never told me it would make me feel this alive.


The late nights nobody sees. 

The decisions you make alone at 2 am. 

The moments where the whole thing rests entirely on your belief in yourself.

I LEFT home for this. 
I MOVED countries for this. 
I BUILT something from nothing in a city where I knew nobody.

And every single hard moment?
It was building ME.

Elon Musk once said being an entrepreneur is like eating glass and staring into the abyss.
He was RIGHT.


And every single person who has ever built something real knows exactly what that feels like, and chose to keep going anyway.

The version of me that exists today was forged in every uncomfortable season, every scary decision, every moment I chose momentum over fear.

Entrepreneurship does not come with a manual.
It comes with a mirror.

And EVERY SINGLE DAY it shows you exactly who you are becoming.

I would not trade one day of this for the safe path.
Not one.


To every entrepreneur building something real right now, the hard is the point.

Oh sir!!
 LinkedIn doesn’t stop working.
 You just stop showing up the right way.

After working with founders, investors, and marketing heads across 20+ industries, these are the 3 red flags that instantly tell me what’s going wrong.


🚩 1. No positioning, just posting.

 You start with “content” before you know who you are on the platform.
 If your profile doesn’t make people think “I get what they do and why it matters” in 5 seconds, no post can fix that.

STOP waiting to hit 10K followers before you start monetizing LinkedIn. 
That's not how this works.



One of my clients had 800 followers when we started.

Every single one had a villain.
Not a person. A THING.


Bad advice. Toxic hustle culture. Fake experts. 
Generic LinkedIn posts. "Rise and grind" mentality.

Something to call out as WRONG.
Then twist the knife on why it's wrong.
Then offer the better way.
That's the formula.


But most of you are SCARED to call anything out.

You want everyone to like you.
You want to "add value" without stepping on toes.

So you post safe, agreeable content that gets 12 likes from your engagement pod and zero real impact.


Meanwhile, the posts that actually MOVE people?
They make someone the bad guy.

Example:
Safe post: "Consistency is important on LinkedIn."

Villain post: "Everyone says 'post daily.' That's terrible advice. Here's why."


Which one are you clicking? 👀
The second one. Every time. 

Because CONFLICT CREATES CUROSITY.

When you call something out, people either think: 
a) "FINALLY someone said it" (they engage) 
b) "Wait, I do that thing" (they keep reading to defend themselves)


Either way, you win.

But 20 minutes a week building authority on LinkedIn?
"I don't have time."


Let me do the math for you.
Cold calling: 20 hours a week. Close rate: 2%.


LinkedIn authority: 20 minutes a week. Inbound leads: every week.


One exhausts you. One scales.

But sure, keep saying you're "too busy."


Here's what's actually happening:

While you're chasing, your competitors are BUILDING.

While you're pitching, they're being FOUND.


While you're cold calling, they're CLOSING inbound deals.


And the gap keeps getting wider.
Because authority compounds.

Every post builds credibility. 

Every insight positions you as THE expert. 
Every piece of content works for you 24/7.


Cold calling? You stop, the leads stop.
Authority? It works while you sleep.


So you're not "too busy."
You're just prioritizing the thing that's harder and pays less.


That's a choice!!

I used to hear these all the time


→ “Don’t post too much. Feels like you’re trying too hard.”

→ “Just be grateful for what you already have.”

→ “Everyone’s doing personal branding now, what’s new?”

→ “It’s not that easy to get clients online.”

→ “You need to be an influencer to make LinkedIn work.”

→ “This is not sustainable.”

→ “You’re too visible, people will judge you.”

→ “Play safe. Be practical.”


Let me be clear - 

 
None of this is wisdom.

Because here’s the truth, no one says out loud

→ People project their limitations onto your ambition.
→ They call your courage “too much” because it makes their comfort feel small.
→ They label your growth “unrealistic” because they couldn’t imagine it for themselves.


And most people?

They listen to this noise for years.

I almost did too.

Until I realised:

→ You don’t need permission to be seen.
→ You don’t need a panel of “realists” to approve your path.

And I definitely don’t owe silence to anyone who’s scared to speak up.

Since then?

→ I built a brand from scratch that now pulls 7+ inbound leads/week

What can someone reading this actually take away?


✖️ "Here are 5 tips for [generic topic]..." 
I have seen this post 47 times this week. 
From 47 different people. 

What is YOUR specific take? 
What have YOU actually lived through that nobody else has?


✖️ "Agree? ❤️" 
Say something worth agreeing or disagreeing with and you will never have to ask again.


✖️ "Just sharing this because it resonated..." 
SKIP the explanation. 
Share something so valuable that the value speaks entirely for itself.


What actually earns engagement:

A TAKE that makes someone stop mid-scroll and think. 

A STORY that reveals something real and unexpected. 

A BREAKDOWN that saves someone hours they were about to waste. 

An OPINION strong enough that some people push back, because that is exactly how you know it landed.


The algorithm rewards content that earns attention.
Start there!!

The person it is written for READS it and STAYS.
The person it is not written for moves on.

Both are the correct outcome.
