Driverseat is a passenger transportation franchise, which means that we move people for a living. 

But I'm not in the transportation business. I'm in the people business. Our mission is to create incredible opportunities and epic lives. Franchising gives you the opportunity to work autonomously with a proven system for making money, using a recipe that was developed by some smart people (namely… me in this case…)

Every day, I have the responsibility and privilege to direct the vision of our company, setting the course for years to come. I embrace servant leadership and believe that if people are going to spend more time in their work than they do with their family, they had better enjoy it. 

I love learning about people, and having the deeper conversations. I reject rhetoric and posturing. There are only so many hours in the day, and I want them to be filled with richness and realness. 

I guess I should add a bit about myself…

I have three young daughters, and I’m a very involved Dad. I have high expectations and want them to grow up to be strong, resilient and independent women who feel they can do whatever the heck they want with their lives. 

I love working with my hands - In 2019 I began a major overhaul on my house and have completely renovated it down to the wall studs… every room…

I’m extremely passionate about coaching others, which makes my role as franchisor a perfect fit for me. Every day, I work with entrepreneurs to help them grow their business. 

I love music and play the guitar. I’ve been dabbling with piano a bit and think it might be my next project. 

I’m great at sales, because I’ve never felt like I was selling anything. I present opportunities to people who need what I have, and partner with those who will fully invest in themselves and the brand.

Kikuchi Foundation 

After selling my first company, I followed my heart and my dream to volunteer and give of my time, resources and passion to serve  throughout Latin America. I first began my long journey by volunteering throughout Peru, Colombia, Argentina and Chile. 

I subsequently started the Kikuchi Foundation in Canada to raise funds to purchase a home for a group of 25 abandoned children in the north of Bogota City. Even though that did not come to complete fruition, the children did end up finding the support they needed, and I continued my service and began working with displaced families south of Bogota with my wife. Through pro-bono counseling, conferences, and private speaking engagements, I was able to serve the great people of these countries and also learn so much from them.

I often wondered how some of the poorest people of these countries could live without electricity or sleep in bedrooms with mud floors - and still more happy then I ever was owning a home, company and many other things.

In the end, I learned something so very simple. Even with the best education, the best home, or the best environment, if a person does not feel important or truly 'loved', what we achieve or ever attain will never be enough.

You know, as a kid, I dreamt of being a doctor—rushing into disaster zones and patching people up like some kind of real-life superhero. Life, of course, had other plans. Growing up in shelters, parks, and motels didn’t exactly scream “Harvard Med,” but it did give me grit, an allergy to excuses, and a relentless drive to rewrite my story.

Fast forward a few decades, and I’ve built and led five wildly different businesses, sold two of them, and somehow convinced Harvard Business School to write a case study about my operations (still no free sweatshirt, though). After my first business sale, I decided to shake things up—took a sabbatical, wrote a book called Worth, and did mission work with abandoned children in South America. That trip? Life-changing. The book? Happy to send you a copy.

Now? I spend my days doing what I love: coaching CEOs, speaking, and helping leadership teams escape the daily grind and focus on what really matters. After discovering EOS and meeting Gino (yep, that Gino), I was hooked. No more flying on just grit and prayer—I had the tools to help entrepreneurs turn their visions into reality.

No, I’m not a doctor, but I do get to diagnose and treat the aches and pains of businesses—and more importantly, the people behind them. Because if you’re not living the life you want while building the business of your dreams, what’s the point?
