Equal parts humility and hunger.

They want to continue to set the bar high for their digital experience but they admittedly don't know exactly what that looks like as of 2026.

🤖 AI is devouring industries whole right now.

Some estimates attribute 4% of GitHub public commits to Claude Code already.

At the current trajectory, Claude Code could be 20%+ of all daily commits by the end of 2026.

I get referrals mostly from past clients, tech and SI partners - basically from people that like and trust me as a person and a domain expert.

The rest of my business comes from my content and ability to communicate well with my target market so I resonate with them.

In a world where AI becomes all consuming, relationships matter more than ever.

Human connections matter more than ever.

The ability to communicate well - with empathy and heart matters more than ever.

Soft skills combined with deep domain expertise and experience matter more than ever.

The ability to network, connect and speak well at in person events matters more than ever.

If you want to survive and thrive no matter what AI does or doesn't do, I'd be doubling down on what makes you great as a human being right now.

🚗 Was running some errands yesterday and ran into this cool lunar calendar art installation here in Auckland to celebrate Chinese New Year.

My pipeline was looking pretty thin at the start of the year but as of today is looking much fuller for the remainder of the year. 🙏

It's crazy how mind/heart set, age and experience can affect our view of and stress levels around business.

In my younger years, the start of the year would have induced mild panic...

Now I see it all as just the natural ebb and flow of how business actually works.

It's built one relationship at a time... 🫶

You need Wikidata pages for you and your business along with LD code snippets for your website linking to these canonical pages to close your identity loop for LLM's like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok to index.

👑 Catching up with the legendary 'Mr. 10x10x10' video expert John Maybury for lunch today in Auckland and it struck me...

If you're an entrepreneur (current or aspiring), you don't need to have it all figured out at the start!

You just need to back yourself that you'll be ABLE to figure it out as you go.

I was sharing with John how for the first couple of years of Greenwood Consulting's life - I worked EXCLUSIVELY with Manufacturers & Distributors (merchants).

But then about 2 years in, I started getting approached by Agencies/SI's, Platform Vendors and Investors to work with them too (still focused on B2B commerce of course).

So I added frameworks to be able to support these types of B2B clients.

Fast forward 3 years and they now they make up the majority of my client engagements!

If I had had a hard line in the sand about only ever working with my original ICP, I would have missed out on so many of the opportunities I have and enjoy today.

It wasn't so much of a pivot as starting to serve very natural ADJACENCIES.

The only constant is change - so you have to be ready to adjust on the fly to survive and thrive today - ESPECIALLY in the age of AI.
