I volunteered to help produce content and manage their social media account to retain a connection with their customers during the COVID-19 Lockdown. It has taught me about what makes content engaging, the importance of brand consistency, and how to produce targeted commercial content that expresses their core values. 

During this position I took on numerous tasks, which included:

- Creating photographic and graphic content for the Facebook page.
- Designing a website using Wix.
- Added the business to online directories.
- Used Adobe InDesign to create a menu for the website.
- Responded to customer comments and messages via. Facebook.

I have  increased the page’s likes from 979 in March 2020 to 1,310 in September 2020, which is a 33.81% increase. This has been achieved by increasing the frequency of posts and creating content that drives engagement.

Hired by the university, my job was to cover the sports events happening both on and off-campus for the institution, ensuring the content was suitable for both social media and print usage. Photographing fast-paced sports enhanced my practical photography skills, including lens knowledge, as well as time-management and my brand awareness.

performances. During my time spent volunteering at this organisation, I was able to develop my content writing skills, created unique images, and also met tight deadlines that the publication set for me.

This experience not only improved my leadership skills, but also taught me how to be organised to ensure that I could take on multiple responsibilities and complete all tasks to the highest standard. - Led and managed the start-to-finish development, production and public consultation of the statutory draft Drought Plan.
- Collaborated with a large number of colleagues and subject matter experts across the business from team contributor to director level.

- Worked closely with Water Supply to make operational abstraction decisions during dry and wet weather and high demand events.
- Analysed large data sets to produce weekly water resource situation summaries that clearly highlighted any future issues.
- Created a new abstraction potential metric for use in company-wide reporting and drought planning. 

Groundwater Quality Investigation
- Project managed the rehabilitation of a borehole providing resilience to an important groundwater source after several turbidity incidents.
- Ensured coordination with the GWEU, Water Supply, Permitting and Water Quality teams as well as the Environment Agency.

- Researched for a seven-part landmark BBC natural history series.
- Sourced unique story ideas to complete a marine sequence fitting an episode theme.
- Attended production team meetings and liaised with a leading scientist in the Gulf of Maine to substantiate ideas which were taken forward by the episode producer.
- Learnt about equipment coordination, location planning, cataloguing of footage and editing.

- Assisted scientists with fieldwork and data collection from sand dunes and salt marshes along the North Wales coast.
- Measured weather, stream flow and chemical flux in the Plynlimon river catchment to assist in hydrological studies. 
- Took photographs for use in advertising, presentations and on the CEH website.

Worked in the busy, fast-paced IT department of one of the UK’s largest consumer insurance companies. My attention to detail uncovered a flaw in the company’s website which enabled me to make a positive contribution to a key area of the business.
