'Reaching your potential' sounds fluffy and vague until you think about it in terms of regret.

Because it doesn’t matter if someone told you:

🔹It’s a killer niche with lots of money
🔹It’s a business model that crushes right now

You’ll lose to someone obsessed and chasing mastery in it.

You’re getting it backwards.

You can’t master anything without mastering yourself first. 

Most people try to learn a new skill…

But within less than a month they’ve already moved on to something new.

Either they saw something else shiny or they think they’ve gotten good enough.

(Then wonder why they see no results from it)

Instead you must start with you.

Your behavior patterns. Your beliefs. Who you see yourself as.

Your purpose and mission. 

Then get rid of the sh*t you don’t like and add new ones that serve you. 

Most people will fail because they’re addicted to the 'new skill' dopamine trap. 

But if you want to become exceptional… 

Start with yourself first.

I spent time every day after school in a dark closet when I was 12.

Not because I was being punished…

I was meditating. 

The reason I was in the closet was so my brothers wouldn’t find and make fun of me. 

If you have siblings… you know. 

Self mastery was always one of life’s biggest mysteries to me as a kid.

I remember thinking “damn it sounds cool… but what does it actually mean?”

When I was 7 or 8 I found a book on Psychokinesis my mom had lying around the house. 

I picked it up and dug my nose in it for days straight. 

The thought of having so much control over my mind I could alter physical reality had my imagination running wild.

I even practiced bending spoons with my mind (I was unsuccessful in case you were wondering).
