Implemented campaign of monthly audience-specific email newsletters, achieving 46% average open rate and 16% average click-through rate (against industry averages of 22% and 2%). Created prominent campaign against Government cuts that generated 37% increase in Twitter followers and was used by the British Assistive Technology Association as key message in their campaign.

I joined AmanoTech at startup stage in 2011, and climbed a very steep learning curve understanding Disabled Students' Allowance, implementing procedures and managing staff. Promoted from Admin Assistant to Office Manager, then Operations Manager.

Amano Technologies provides assistive technology and supports disabled and elderly users, whether through Disabled Students Allowance, Access to Work, education, or a private purchase.  They sit on the BATA Council (British Assistive Technology Association) and are members of the British Dyslexia Association.

Joined as Account Manager – building relationships and managing a wide range of print, digital and PR projects for a diverse client base, facilitating branding and communication workshops and producing the resultant ‘Brand DNA’ reports, creating and presenting proposals for prospective clients, and managing campaigns through design and implementation.  Worked closely with the Studio team to ensure that we fulfilled the client’s brief, and met or exceeded their expectations, within the budget and deadline.

As the company grew I moved into the newly-created role of Studio Manager, scheduling and monitoring the team’s workload to ensure all projects were delivered on time and within budget, and being the point of communication between the Studio and the Commercial teams.  Introduced a new project database and checklists to ensure high standards of work and ease of team-working and monitoring.

Introduced a new method of competition entry that was both cost-saving for readers and income-generating for the newspaper, sourced an exclusive offer that generated over £3,000 in additional revenue, and created a 4-page pullout that generated 3% sales increase.
