If not, you should. #NomadEire is not just a conference, an event, as I understood. It's a movement to embellish Ireland's less traveled and lesser known local companies, enterprises, entrepreneurs, and more. 

The work to create a flawless event is never seen, it's felt by how participants experience it. And I know a thing or two about that, even before we co-founded EESTEC LC back in the day in MB City. 

What do you need to know about creating an event? Here are four major points.

Thinking Ahead: The Key to Successful Events

Event making may seem easy to the casual observer, but it’s anything but. Whether you’re organizing a small gathering or a large corporate conference, successful events require serious planning and foresight. Anticipating what could go wrong is half the battle.

Flexibility: Small Events, Quick Changes

Smaller events, like workshops or intimate parties, offer flexibility. With tighter timelines, changes can happen on the fly — a venue switch, a schedule tweak, or even a last-minute guest addition. The ability to adapt quickly is what makes these events feel fresh and spontaneous. Flexibility is the key to making small events feel effortless. 

And Dani and her team did this amazingly well.

Red Tape: Larger Events Take Time

When it comes to larger or even corporate events, like Running Remote, flexibility is harder to come by. Planning a conference or a festival can take months, even years, due to contracts, permits, and endless approvals. The logistics are complex, and the “red tape” can slow down decisions, stretching the timeline and making coordination more challenging. It’s a long, careful process that requires patience and persistence.

The Invisible Work: Making It All Come Together

Behind every seamless event is a huge amount of work that often goes unnoticed. From managing vendors to navigating approval processes, the work that happens behind the scenes is what makes the magic happen. Whether small or large, event planning is about thinking ahead, staying flexible, and managing the details, even when the process feels like a never-ending challenge.

Not to mention the people assisting, either as volunteers, or hired as contractors for specific purpose (marketing, venues, etc.)
