Research Software Engineer

- Integrated a track fingerprint recognition during track ingestion. Bootstrapped on back catalog. 20000 tracks a day, 40M total.
- Worked on the lyrics feature (Dec. 2014). Parsed big files (> 15Go), interacted with the front team, tested code, stored 2M lyrics in database
- Developed and maintain tools (scripts, web pages) concerning the music ingestion from up to 300 music providers using DDEX XML, FTP, PHP, MySQL, Linux

Work on limited projects involving (web) development, especially on digital media projects. I bring adequate solutions to my clients after taking time to understand best their needs. Abeille Musique

In charge of developping and maintaining the digital tools of Abeille Musique to maintain its position of physical music distribution leader (CDs, DVDs) and develop their digital brand.

Developped new tools to achieve automated task and maintain all the existing tools: automated script, EDI, websites maintenance. Technologies varies from .NET applications (ASP, C#) to web-based technologies (PHP, web-services) and database interactivity (MySQL, SQL Server). I also managed up to three developers, and took action in recruiting them. I was in a very versatile role in a fast-paced company where I often had to prioritize and multi-task.

Included the following tasks / projects:
- Designed, Deployed and maintained a new SQL Server database modeling music industry with its own internal web-service (WCF) and its associated GUI forms and reports. Entity Framework, SQL Server
- Creation of a new digital music supply-chain. Metadata, XML (DDEX) and covers supported. Automated or manual deliveries.
- Development, maintenance and enhancement of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) scripts with PHP, C#, MySQL ; FTP communications
- Interaction with Sage (SQL Server, PHP, legacy code)
- Use of Amazon, Qobuz, FNAC, 3Dsecure, and other Web Services APIs (PHP, C#)
- Managed code with Graphite/Tattle, Datadog tools
- Deployed and maintained ASP websites on Windows Server 2012
- Enhanced and tracked complex problems and performance issues on the labels report application (C#, NHibernate)

In the test team for satellite set top boxes, I was in charge of assuring the rest of the team a good testing tool to validate middleware versions of code embedded in multiple STBs (the wall).

Software Engineer

C2M - Challenge2Media

Working for Bouygues Telecom, the third mobile operator in France. Bouygues Telecom is the first provider of quadruple play in the world (standard telephony, mobile telephony, internet access provider and digital television provider). I worked for their digital TV offer, testing through flash application their embedded flash player (Bluestreak 1.2.4) on a Thomson DBI8500ET set top box.

My tasks included
- Reception the vendor deliveries and troubleshot its API prior to shipping to development team
- List and followed bugs (with Mantis) on a weekly basis. Reported to management
- Deployed a company wiki to share and aggregate knowledge on this bootstrapping project

NDS Technologies France (now Cisco)

Implication in development of STB at application and middleware levels :
- Developed of Progressive Download component (C, POSIX) from a detailed specification
- Developed fullTV settings menu (Java, application level)
- Resolved complex HD / SD issues
- Worked on ST7100, BroadCom 7401 devices
- Worked with Agile methodology

- Developping on internal web bug tracing application

Software developper

In the past ten years, I developed software in the music field at Abeille Musique/Qobuz, Deezer, NoMad Music and Vialma. I tackled music data related issues such as the digitization of distribution, the automation of market place stocks and orders, an audio-fingerprint oriented database,  an artist disambiguation web services from a trained model, metadata matching from various open databases (Musicbrainz, Discogs) and tailored datasets for several research purposes. Owning a bachelor in musicology closes the gap often observed between the tech team and the content/business teams.

I joined the Vialma team in 2019 as CTO. Vialma is a highly-curated classical music and jazz streaming platform for pleasurable listening and discovery. I am managing the tech team in order to build a product that meets business ambitions.

Sill part of large web production environment I am up to date with commonly used technologies in the such as Docker, Kafka, PHP, Symfony, Django, Flask, Logstash, Kibana and Redis.

I love the spontaneity and serendipity of hackathons, and happily attend local meetups or tech conferences such as FOSDEM.

I also own the classical music database Rondo DB (www.rondodb.com/about).

Finally, I am an avid reader (Science, Technology, Business and forever classics), triathlete enthusiast, piano lover, fervent remote worker, open-minded digital nomad and general aviation pilot.
