I studied in psychology in college, but being a shrink wasn’t for me.

So I became a marketer instead.

After a decade of working with nearly every type of business, I noticed a pattern…

Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Kindness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Gentleness. Self-control.  Paul calls these the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22–23. 


What do these have to do with managing your finances?

→ Love.  Giving generously, even when it's inconvenient.  The clients who give freely never seem to run out.

→ Joy.  People with joy spend less $ trying to fill a void.

→ Peace.  You don't panic-sell in downturns.  You sleep at night.  That alone saves you a fortune.

→Patience.  You let compounding do its job.  You don't chase Hot tips and short-term trends.

→ Kindness and Goodness.  You tip well.  You help a family member without keeping score.  Money flows through you, not just to you. 

→ Faithfulness.  You automate savings. You keep commitments to your future self. 

→ Gentleness.  You don't make financial decisions in anger or frustration. 

→ Self-control.  The foundation of everything.  No financial plan succeeds without it.

The detail that matters: Paul says "fruit," not "fruits."

You can't pick one and skip the rest.  Self-control without peace turns into white-knuckle anxiety.  Patience without faithfulness is just procrastination.

They work together.  Or they don't work at all.

I've tried to manufacture this in clients through plans and projections. It only goes so far.

The ones who truly have it? It runs deeper than any financial plan.
