So I became a marketer instead.

I managed the marketing department and all aspects of the SAHOURI brand across all channels. At SAHOURI I lead the rebrand from "Sahouri Insurance and Financial" to a modern SAHOURI brand that was strategic in all aspects of design and messaging. I was the creative director and lead designer for a marketing team of six that worked on projects for four departments within the company. 

My duties included:
► Creating, implementing, and managing marketing objectives for each quarter.
► Mentoring team members in design, marketing, social media, and leadership.
► Managing our 12 social media accounts with BUFFER and writing copy for posts.
► Communicating with organizations and businesses to create special events.
► Design and manage digital signage to display brand messages and content

Highlights:
► Designed and coded 48 pages on Sahouri.com including writing over 15,000 words of content.
► Completed over 250 projects including 13 booklets,14 PowerPoints, and 20 promo items.
► Designed our email rating system and coded signatures to provide weekly performance data.
► Managed 16 events including 5 Speakers Series, 3 golf tournaments, and 3 trade shows.
► Reviewed and guided production of 50 marketing videos.
► Created SAHOURI’s branding and style guide.

I used Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks to design touch panel interfaces for companies such as Raytheon, ACG, NAHB, CBRE, and the University of California. I was also in charge of all graphic design needs such as web site design, marketing materials, diagrams, invoices, and presentations.

I was onsite and at business meetings in the Washington DC area to consult and explain to clients how we were going to achieve their goals. On every project I designed an interface that met the design specifications, suited the client's brand, was easy to navigate, and looked professional.

I worked with developers to rapidly make changes to issues that came up and to work around graphic limitations that we faced on the platforms that we developed for ( iPad, Extron, Crestron ) 

I can wire frame interaction, concept design with HTML/CSS, and design touch panel specific interfaces that take into account the special characteristics of touch screen technology.
