GSX (Now Martello) is a SAAS Microsoft Office 365 Monitoring Solution . I took over the North American operations when there were only legacy maintenance contracts with a retired product.

We grew recurring revenue exponentially including contracts with many Fortune 500 companies.

We also closed a multi-million dollar opportunity with the largest Microsoft reseller in the world.

•	Developed short and long-term sales strategies to gain market share, uncover new sales opportunities and increase revenue. This included a robust LinkedIn strategy using LinkedIn automation tools and campaigns as well as driving channel revenue by embedding our solution into their services. We also had frequent webinars and attended trade shows to generate additional leads.
•	Performed monthly sales forecasting and competitive analysis to determine product performance levels and need for new product developments.
•	Analyzed past sales data and team performance to develop realistic quarterly sales goals.
•	Worked directly with marketing to implement lead generation software, including sequences, to automate the follow-up with outstanding leads.

Binary Tree - Powering Enterprise Transformations

Binary Tree is an ISV in the Microsoft ecosystem.
-  Built and managed channel relationships with multi-million dollar revenue streams.  Global partners include Microsoft, Avanade, Altos, and HPE.
-  Managed a global team of channel and alliances professionals.
-  Implemented a global version of impartner.com, the premier Partner Relationship Management Platform.  As a result, we were able to exponentially grow our partner base.
-  Created partner sales enablement tools and training classes to allow our partners to sell directly to clients.
-  Actively participated in the vendor selection process of a new Learning Management System.

Seamgen is one of the fastest growing mobile design and development services firms in Southern California. 

•	Participated in discovery, scoping, estimation, and presentation to prospects, including gathering requirements, formulating delivery approach, and developing the proposal/SOW.

ScrollMotion is a custom mobile applications company.

At ScrollMotion, I grew three of the largest brands in the world into multi-million dollar accounts.  

Additional Accomplishments -

•	Participated in discovery, scoping, estimation, and presentation to prospects, including gathering requirements, formulating delivery approach, and developing the proposal/SOW.
•	Managed engagements from sale of service to delivery at accounts including State Farm, Hallmark, and General Electric.
•	Managed an account team to ensure timely delivery of projects, most of which came in on budget/were profitable as outlined in the SOW, including working with the client project manager to identify/resolve issues that impacted project scope and/or timeframe.
•	Led presentations at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
•	Identified and helped close additional projects within large enterprise organizations.  As an example, we ended up building over 50 different mobile applications for GE, including an iPad app for their Appliances salespeople.  The app was referenced in the Wall Street Journal as a “game changer”, including a quote from Jeff Immelt, GE’s CEO. 
•	As most of the projects were fixed bid, carefully monitored scope of the SOW and issued change orders, when necessary.
•	Led implementation of Salesforce.com. for the company. 
•	Worked directly with ScrollMotion’s development team to gather product requirements and managed the product roadmap to meet our customers’ needs.
•	Created successful partnership/channel sales with OS providers, wireless services providers, and OEMs including Apple, Microsoft, Intel, others.
•	Developed pricing policies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions, for high-profile customers and channel partners.
•	Worked directly with Chief Legal Officer in developing complex legal agreements.

Managing Director for Resources Global Professionals, a publicly traded, $550 million global consulting company that spun out of Deloitte. In one fiscal year, we grew the practice over 500%, making the Kansas City office one of the top three fasting growing offices in the company.

•	Developed new relationships with over 20 new Clients, including several Fortune 1000 companies such as H and R Block and Kansas City Power and Light.
•	Acted as engagement manager for a Fortune 500, financial services Client.  The Client had several issues that needed to be restated and the project had over 40 consultants.
•	Acted as engagement manager for a large, publicly traded mortgage company.  This Client had limited time to become SOX compliant.  We had over 10 consultants in Internal Audit and over 15 consultants in IT.
•	Continually developed new business by identifying target clients, networking, meeting with target clients, and selling all Resources’ service lines. 
•	Cultivated and expanded existing business relationships through frequent communication and regular client visits. 
•	Sold projects to new and existing clients, clarified the scope of projects with clients, identified business solutions, presented qualified Associates to the client, and negotiated billing arrangements. 
•	Assisted in the recruitment of Associates, conducted interviews and assessed skill set and competencies of candidates and negotiated Associates' compensation.

My co-founder and I raised several million dollars in capital and eventually sold the company to a $2 billion, publicly traded company.

•	Raised several million dollars, including active participation in developing a joint venture with a $2 billion publicly traded company.
•	Developed a successful channel sales program that led to over $10 million annual sales in less than 2 years.

* Created a rich set of mock data for an online Hotel travel site using Generative AI tools (predominantly Llama3, SDXL-Lightning, and Codeium).

Egencia

* Integrated a diverse Infrastructure group of 100+ people comprising our SRE, Database, Security, Dev Tools, UI Toolkit, and ML and Reporting Platform teams into Amex GBT after the company's acquisition of Egencia. 
* Oversaw efforts to migrate our deeply integrated AWS environment from Expedia to Amex GBT control.  The team was able to complete the work without augmenting the headcount while also maintaining business-as-usual activities on a day-to-day basis.    
* Championed the Egencia Security team's efforts to install DevSecOps functionality in our stack enabling developers to embrace a "shift-left" mentality on vulnerabilities and reduce the perceived overhead of maintaining a secure environment.   The effort allowed the Security team to maintain its current size while dropping the SLA for vulnerability remediation by up to 66%.
* Oversaw the ML Ops efforts to standardize their platform and build in capabilities that allowed data scientists to push their models into our production environment faster.  The resulting efforts allow our data scientists to publish models up to 83% faster.
* Encouraged Security team efforts to automate our GDPR processes reducing the time to remove a customer from our system from several days to a few hours.

Sr. Director

* Formed a team to drive AWS migration efforts for Egencia.  The team has merged with the SRE team and continues working with development teams to plan and implement cloud migration strategies, and serve as an advocate for best practices when designing highly available, distributed systems.  The team has met its stated goal of managing Egencia's infrastructure with a core group of no more than 10 software and DevOps engineers.
* Led a project to migrate our VM-based infrastructure to a commodity container management system.  The migration resulted in 99.9% availability for AWS-based infrastructure components.  The team has since moved to an industry-standard container orchestration system to further simplify our operational overhead and leverage future community-based contributions.
* Led efforts to reduce AWS cost by more than 30% within a prescribed month-long timeframe.  In order to track costs easily, the team has written and installed a completely automated system to ensure compliance and decommission infrastructure that isn't compliant.
* Bootstrapped and led the effort to install an engineering career growth framework at the company to better provide career guidance to the Tech organization in a transparent fashion.
* Created a college recruiting program that successfully hired 12 interns and 4 full-time employees in its initial rollout.
* Led the technology efforts to complete a massive migration from an on-prem data center to AWS in a 6 month time span.

* Started the effort to lead Egencia's migration effort to AWS.
* Served as tech lead for hotel migration efforts from Orbitz' stack to Expedia's infrastructure.

Senior Software Architect

Orbitz Worldwide

Manager of a highly seasoned hotel supply team.  Highlights included:

* Continuous oversight of scaling our hotel search infrastructure to double our search capacity 2x year over year since 2011.
* Oversaw migration of a high throughput hotel search application from one NoSQL data store to a less operationally complex NoSQL data store.
* Oversaw a rewrite of a legacy hotel booking analytics system written in a proprietary language to one written in Java and Groovy, enabling quicker troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to add and release features in ~1 day.
* Tireless advocate for code refactoring and technical debt reclamation.  As a manager for a production support heavy team, I encourage my engineers to find root causes and fix them instead of applying infrastructure band-aids.
* Led a successful proof of concept to split the search portion of our web app into a smaller microservice.  This led to a reduction in latency by 50% and a reduction in code by 90%.
* Current chair of a meeting for all managers and team leads in the technical organization.  The meeting is held once per week, and I'm responsible for soliciting topics, running the meeting, taking notes, and interacting with all levels of technical leadership from the CTO down for follow up tasks.

Senior Manager Engineering

Lead engineer/team lead for a hotel supply team.  Highlights included:

* Staffed a team of junior engineers and gave them responsibility to oversee critical production support issues for our hotel stack.  The team was empowered to envision infrastructure based solutions for chronic production issues in order to reduce technical debt in the organization.
* Oversaw a significant migration of hotel inventory to a distributed cache, thus reducing load on our backing database by up to 50% and enabling the ability to scale hotel searches for future business needs.

Lead Software Engineer

Software developer for core software components and hotel supply teams.  Highlights included:

* Sole maintainer for a service discovery system written in Erlang.  The system handles > 1TB of data per minute and several thousand concurrent connections.
* Created a Python application to migrate data models for a legacy distribution protocol to an HTTP based one.  In several cases, the application reduced expected migration times by up to 90%.
* Lead developer for a Java project that captured all searches by Orbitz users and pushed the cheapest rate for each hotel to a 3rd party provider aggregating rates from several online travel agencies.  The project matured from providing ~10 bookings per week to a significant percentage for Orbitz brands on a day-to-day basis.
* Architected the above project in such a manner that the average MTTR from bug discovery to patching totaled ~1 day.
* The project required no manual QA certification.  All testing was fully automated.

Senior Software Engineer

Developer for the Orbitz for Business team.  Primary responsibilities included developing features for Orbitz' B2C clients using Java, Spring, and MVC technologies.  Highlights for this period include:

* Solely responsible for the redesign of the log-in logic for the company's leisure and business brands.
* Became a unit testing advocate for the team.

Also served in a support/consultant capacity for the payroll system and the employee self-help site, which involved several J2EE components.
